Would you need a parachute on the moon?
It would be better to say that a parachute would be completely useless on the moon. The moon has no atmosphere so a parachute would not slow you down. And yes, you would need to slow down to land safely. The moon's gravity is weaker than Earth's but a high enough fall would still be lethal. Safely landing on an airless world like the moon requires firing a rocket to slow your descent.
What is parental conflict theory of imprinting?
A widely accepted hypothesis for the evolution of genomic imprinting is the "parental conflic.
The Statue of Liberty likely underwent a chemical change called oxidation. Before the change, the statue's copper surface was shiny and reddish-brown. After the change, the surface turned green due to the formation of a layer of copper carbonate, known as a patina, which protects the underlying copper from further corrosion.
A factor in a experiment that can change?
There are different types of factors that can change in an experiment. The environmental factors may change, and are out of your control. The variables in the experiment may also be changed but, are usually controlled by the individual conducting the experiment the majority of the time.
How do you make a model for a tsunami experiment?
you can make a little model of a city and make a little tsunami. and see how much damage it caused. then compare the damage that it did to a real tsunami.
Look at the type of tsunami your doing. Is it a certain tsunami? If it is research that particular tsunami first. Look up how big it was, what the town looked like, what color it was. Those types of questions. Once your happy with your research and you think you have enough information start building. If you were making a model of The Boxing Day Tsunami you would make the color of the water in your model the same as what color that tsunami was. I hope this info has helped. If not, keep trying!! Now make sure you have a clear plastic rectangular box that has the top cut off. Make sure you have an incline sliding material to give energy to the tsunami. If it does a little wave your god to go.
Get a tub and fill it up with water and then splash!!
Here's a way to make a tsunami model. First you need at least a Ziploc bag of sand, a "showoff" tub or aluminum rectangle shaped pan, a lid to a big Tupperware, and various amount of water. Now here's some choices for a science project or just for now here they are .enjoy them and learn. The way for a science project is to get 3 "showoff" or rectangle pan. Then if you hadn't heard of variable, it makes a great science project. But for this your going to need 3 bags of sand. OK, your variable is the amount of water that will flood the land. Use some 3 big Tupperware lids and place them in the pan or tub. After that, pour the sand onto one side of the tub or pan, then pour the water. Tip, make sure no water gets under the lid. You will then see how much the water had flooded. Hope you enjoyed! Now just repeat the steps except, take away 2 tubs, 2 bags of sand and some amount of water. Enjoy, And win the contest or just have fun!
well you can get a ballon and put it under like a bath tub to start then prick it and hopfully it will make a mini tsunami
I think that you get a tub/bucket and put water in. NOT all the way... Then take a piece of plastic board and put in water. Then you pull the plastic board towards you and you can cause a small tsunami...... THANK YOU FOR LISTENING
its easy just fill a tub with water and throw a rock at the water calling it a meteorite. or put bricks in it connected to a string pul the string and wala
What type of combustion engine in the steam engine?
A steam engine is an external combustion engine. As the steam engine combusts outside of the engine itself.
What is the effect of shape on the density of samples of the same material?
it has no effect. density of a substance is the same no matter the size or shape of the sample.
What are the details and explanation of Pascal's law?
Pascal's law or Pascal's principle states that "The law that a confined fluid transmits externally applied pressure uniformly in all directions, without change in magnitude. and acts at right angle to the walls of the container''
whereΔP is the hydrostatic pressure (given in pascals in the SI system), or the difference in pressure at two points within a fluid column, due to the weight of the fluid;ρ is the fluid density (in kilograms per cubic meter in the SI system);g is acceleration due to gravity (normally using the sea level acceleration due to Earth's gravity in meters per second squared);Δh is the height of fluid above the point of measurement, or the difference in elevation between the two points within the fluid column (in meters in SI).
The intuitive explanation of this formula is that the change in pressure between two elevations is due to the weight of the fluid between the elevations.
Note that the variation with height does not depend on any additional pressures. Therefore Pascal's law can be interpreted as saying that any change in pressure applied at any given point of the fluid is transmitted undiminished throughoutthe fluid. Equation: (P1)(V1) = (P2)(V2)
A motor deficit is caused by either a malfunction of the central nervous system or a malfunction of the peripheral nervous system. Involuntary muscle contractions can also develop as a motor deficit.
What is the boiling point of pure water at 4 ATM?
The boiling point of pure water at 4 ATM is approximately 125 degrees Celsius.
How do you make a submarine for school project?
Get a jar and fill it with water, balloon, elastic band, bit of lemon. Put the lemon in the jar of water and put the balloon around the top of the jar. Put the elastic band around as well and screw the lid on.
You can make a Descartes "diver" or "devil" and here's how:
Period, T , and frequency, f , are always the inverse of each other; f = 1/T
Is Mt. Tambora constructive or destructive I need to know for my writing science project?
Mount Tambora is on a destructive plate boundary. This is because the australian plate is subducted underneath the Eurasian plate.
Yes
Discuss the social and economic implications of disease in plants and animals?
the economic implications would be farmers would lose crop as the result of disease in plants and animals would be affected. the farmers are losing money the crop is in shortage supply and the price in the supermarkets increase. I'm not sure about the social implications but it could be the diseases in plants and animals could mutate and affect us such as swine flu and mad cow disease.
Fluid's lack of rigidity contributed to scientist's creation of the area of fluid mechanics.
Why is ceramic a synthetic material?
Synthetic refers to being "man made". Ceramics are created from baking clay into a substance that it would not have become without someone's efforts.
Why do mineral oil undergo the saponification?
Mineral oil can not be saponified.it is bcoz it doesnt contain acids necessery to produce phenomenon..animal fats and vegetable oils can be saponified due to presence of acid in them...
Does mint actually lower temperatures?
No, it only stimulates taste and olfactory nerves in a way that gives you a 'cool' impression or feeling.
