Celebrating and discussing Christmas are two differing things. The reasons for celebrating Christmas may be discussed by the teacher. The child not being allowed to celebrate the season is neither here nor there, unless the teacher goes against the wishes of the parents and encourages the child to celebrate Christmas. A full direction by the parents should be obtained by teacher so that there is no conflict with their wishes. The child's welfare must come first.

Seventh-day Adventists believe that our bodies are the temple of God and are to be kept and used for His service. We therefore have a responsibility to keep our bodies healthy. That means eating and acting in ways that are healthy - lots of vegetables and exercise - and avoiding food and actions which are unhealthy. In this latter class come meat, non-medical drugs of all sorts, and unhealthy life-styles.

Adventists recognise that it is not always possible to follow ideal practices: if you lived at the North Pole, for example, it might be difficult to follow a vegetarian diet, in which case the most healthy option would be to eat meat. If you were stuck in a desert and the only liquid available was coffee or wine, then the most healthy option would be to drink them. For Western people in normal circumstances, however, a vegetarian diet is strongly recommended, smoking, alcohol and other drugs such as cannabis and cocaine are forbidden, and drugs such as caffeine are discouraged.

Some people in the church think it is, but since it is a university there are certain criteria that is looked upon (grades, previous courses, where on the waiting list they may be on).

I know someone who is a 4th generation Adventist, their father went to LLU and has his medical degree from LLU, but tried for two years straight to enter into their medical school.

I believe this is the one true church that Jesus mentioned in the bible that keeps his Sabbath holy ( the ten commandments ). Worshipping God on Saturday and accepting Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and following in his footsteps are the main key to eternal life ( Seal of god ). Therefore, I totally support the Mahanaim Fiji branch movement in spreading the truth to all races in Fiji, so they might be saved from the woe's that the world and Satan are planning for Christians / Jesus Christ faithful followers - the Protestant. One have to remember that Satan has a deceitful nature and will try and lure saved christians back to him and his condemned community.

I think you are assuming that she did not ask for forgiveness. Just because the bible does not record her repentance does not mean she did not ask. Jesus can not forgive unless we come to him and request forgiveness. Please look at Peter and how he denied Christ. Peter surely repented and yet the bible does not record him kneeling in prayer and begging for the pardon of God.

Yes. In Leviticus 11 God specify which animals to eat. But today 6% of all Seventh Day Adventist in th whole world are vegan and they only eat raw foods; about 65% are vegetarians. They are the ones that have the longest longevity.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church teaches that homosexuality is a sin just like blaspheming, fornicating, and lying etc.,. They believe that God alone will judge the living and the dead. They believe that we are to love everyone. Officially, Lesbians that openly and purposely practice any sin are treated the same way a straight person is that is openly and purposely practicing sin. They are loved; however, not allowed to hold any church office.
