Hitler asked Dr. Ferdinand Porsche to design a car the working man could afford. Among the things he told Porsche was, make the car aerodynamic like a beetle. He also wanted the car to be priced at 1000 Marks, and to be sold through the Nazis' recreation organization "Kraft durch Freude." (in English, it means "Strength through Joy.") The car was to be called the KdF-wagen. So the working man could actually buy these cars, Hitler ordered a savings plan be developed. If you joined the plan, you received a "KdF-sparbuch" or "KdF savings book." It had places for 1000 stamps, each of which cost one Mark. If you were able to fill up the book, you could redeem it for a car.

In reality, the KdF-wagen never was made because the factory they were going to make it in was used instead to make military vehicles. Lots of Germans bought KdF-sparbuchen, and after the war when the Volkswagenwerk AG started making cars, they accepted the stamps in KdF-sparbuchs at face value--if your book had 650 stamps in it, they discounted your car by 650 Deutschmarks.

You need a piece of hose that will fit over the bleeder nipples, a jar, a couple quarts of brake fluid plus a small bottle of it, a 7mm wrench, preferably a set of jackstands and tools to remove the wheels, and a second person.

Here's how I work: I jack the car up, put it on four jackstands and take the wheels off. This makes it a lot easier to get in there. I start at the right rear wheel--go from the brake farthest from the master cylinder to the one closest to it. Adjust all four of the brakes until the shoes are touching the drums. Once all this is done, put the hose over the nipple on the right rear brake, put the other end in the jar with about two inches of brake fluid at the bottom of it, put your 7mm wrench on the nipple, and put the second person in the driver's seat. Get down next to the brake and yell PUMP real loud. Your second pumps the brakes ten times and holds down the pedal, then yells PUMPED. You open the nipple for just a couple of seconds and some air will come out of the hose. Then do it again. After every four or five times, put a little more brake fluid in the brake fluid tank with the small bottle. (It's almost impossible to put brake fluid into the tank from a quart bottle, but you can with the little ones.) Keep doing this until no more air comes out of the hose. Then refill the tank, go to the next wheel and start all over again. I always go around the car twice just to make sure.

I build VW engines for sandrails.......for NEW rebuilds, during break-in process, I use a non detergent 30W for the first 25 miles. I then recheck timing, valve adjustment, carb (s) and change oil using a 15W40 (not synthetic) 10W40 is also good. These are both great for 1600cc. However, if you operate in EXTREME heat (+90 degrees) with a lot of stop and go traffic you may choose to use a 20W50 (non synthetic).

The key to drawing realistic looking veins is in natural colors, and shadows and highlight.

Notice that the veins are usually darker than the rest of the skin. The blood underneath is typically blue. Work a little blue-green into your flesh tone. A LITTLE. If drawing in black and white, only a slightly darker tone is needed. You can almost do it with nothing but shadows and highlight.

Next, notice the shadows on the sides of the veins away from the light, and the highlight on the sides toward the light. Don't forget your reflected light at the base of the shadows, and you can also control the three-dimensional effect of the height of the veins off the skin, with more contast between the shadow and the light.

These principles apply to drawing most any three-dimensional object, especially those in relief.

The difference is the outside diameter, it is used for fitting the liner in the block as they are dry liners.

It's actually kinda tricky. Pull the door release inside, and your hood should pop, and a pull tab should pertrude out from under the hood. grab that tab and pull down first and then to the right. This should do the trick. If not, then you will have to do what I did with my girlfriend's car: Drive it to a dealership and ask them the most embaressing question, "How do you open the hood?"
