If it has a center one, that will be the coil wire tower, and the ones surrounding it in a circle will be the plug wire towers.

Have you checked you oil levels? it could just be it is a little low and as the sump is not baffled all the oil will be swirling from side to side especially when going around a corner!

I just used a channel-lock pliers to colapse the caliper. It screws in with screw threads. I had never changed rear disk brakes that worked this way. But when it was obvious that my C-clamp was not colapsing the caliper, I realized it worked by a different method. So screw it down as far as you need it, pop on the new pads and your set. I did open the bleeder valve because I was at my wits end when the C-clamp didn't work. So you may not even need to open the system to compress the piston, it may just screw down without having to let air into the system.

turn key to on positions (do not start car) and wait 10 seconds

turn off key and release button

Start car ... indicator should be reset.

You have to follow the power down procedure listed in a shop manual. Then you can disconnect the connector. If you leave it unhooked permanently, the SRS light will stay on.

If you're on the road and happen by a big tire shop on your travels, they'll almost certainly check and properly inflate your tires at no charge (their motivation being that they might be able to "win you over" and get you to come to them when you need repairs or replacements). Proper tire pressure maximizes gas mileage, and it is safer to drive on them when they're at the correct pressure. But you knew that already.

Some of the Beetles never came with a reverse light. My earlier '68 at least did not have one. The present '68 that I own has a reverse switch just above the gear box. Check for wiring or connection faults. If okay, your reverse switch is faulty. If you are having a Beetle that is. ---- Jas

Put the car on jack stands and remove the wheels. Locate the calipers and brake pads and remove the pins and clips from the calipers. Slide out the old brake pads and push the piston back to make room for the new pads and shims. Slide in the new pads and shims and put the pins, clips and cotter pins back in. The front and rear replacement process are very similar, but have different pads and shims.

seems there is a connection on the drivers side of the door that looks like a vaccuum line u need to open this and make sure all the wires are in place and then test the connection and it should work
