What do kids in Holland put in their shoes?
A lot of different type of shoes. Mostly just the same kind of shoes you would see kids in the rest of Europe and the U.S.A wear. Examples are: athletic shoes, sneakers, boots and during the summer also flip-flops and sandals.
Unlike popular believe, Dutch kids rarely wear clogs as, nowadays, these are mostly used by farmers as heavy-duty work shoes.
How do you bathe a holland lop rabbit?
Normally rabbits don't need to be bathed. There is however a special shampoo for rabbits (most pet stores would probably have it). Get some clean, warm water and gently dunk the rabbit in it (do NOT put head under). Put a small dab of rabbit shampoo on it and rub it around the rabbit. Then dunk the rabbit back in. Have another container of warm water for rinse. Take the rabbit out of the soapy water and dunk it in this. When all the soap is washed off, dry the rabbit either by towel or blow dryer.
There is a waterless shampoo spray you can get at pet stores that you just spray on your rabbit.
What happened when Philip tried to crush Calvinism in the Netherlands?
He appointed the Duke of Alva to take care of the job. The Duke's methods however were those of a bull in a China shop, to such an extent that even the King's Spanish (and Catholic) counselors warned the King that the Duke's actions were totally counterproductive. Arresting and beheading the moderate, Catholic and largely pro-Spanish Counts Egmont and Horne for one, alienated many moderate and Catholic Dutchmen from the Spanish cause.
Introducing new and much-resented taxes that rode roughshod over Dutch cities' rights - that had earlier been confirmed by King Philip - brought many Dutch cities over to the side of the rebels. Basically, Alva started out in a Dutch province that was quiet, largely loyal to King Philip and overwhelmingly Catholic. Five years later at the time of his dismissal, large parts of Holland and today's Belgium - including most of the larger cities - had become rebel country under the rule of an ever-growing Calvinist minority.
King Philip, who had at first strongly supported the Duke of Alva, finally was forced to conclude that the Duke's methods were indeed just fanning the flames of rebellion and replaced him with a much more moderate Governor, Don Luis de Requesens. Requesens tried the carrot-and-stick method and abolished the hated new taxes, but only managed to get some grip on the firmly Catholic southern provinces (today's Belgium) that looked askance at the Calvinists' quickly rising prominence anyway.
Later Spanish Governors - especially the long-serving Duke of Parma - tried military means to subdue the rebel provinces, mostly in the form of besieging the major cities. This ultimately proved ineffective and cities that had been taken were later mostly re-taken by the Dutch. The military operations meanwhile did nothing to endear the Spanish to the Dutch, and the Calvinists, originally a small minority, used the state of war to take hold of the rebellion's leadership. This, and the success of the rebellion, quickly led to a 'join the leader / join the winner'-mentality that brought about a lot of conversions to Calvinism.
By 1609 and after some 30 years of fighting, the Dutch Republic had become de facto independent as a Calvinist nation. Dutch Catholics were 'tolerated' as long as they kept their religious practices within the confines of their homes. All existing churches had been converted to Protestant churches. In the Treaty of Westphalia of 1648, Spain formally recognized Dutch independence as a Protestant, sovereign State

What was Jewish life like in the Netherlands before the Nazi invasion?
Dutch Jews were relatively well-integrated into Dutch society. They were known for being active in numerous fields such as medicine and law. While there was some minor discrimination against Dutch Jews, there were really no major social impediments to Dutch Jewry and this had been the case in the Netherlands since the 1600s.
What does a Netherlands driving license look like?
There are about four different types because they used to be valid until the holder reached his/her 70th birthday and people who were issued with a licence years ago and haven't changed any of their details still have one of these old licences. When Britain joined the EU, licences had to conform to EU standards and new licences adhered to EU rules although the older licences were still valid. The EU requirement has changed again since the early days and all licences are now plastic 'photo-card' licences but again the earlier versions are still valid. Most people now have a photo card licence which is now compulsory for all new drivers and for anyone changing their address or other details. The driving licence is about the size of a credit card.

Serious AnswerIf we just take square area just slightly more than 1401 timesWhy did the Netherlands make euthanasia legal?
A person should have the ultimate control over their own life. Many people would choose doctor assisted euthanasia if it was available. In fact, many do. Many dying people have asked a family member or partner for that kind of help and many have honored that request. It has been performed for centuries where family members and family doctors have honored the wish of a dying relative or patient to help end their suffering. The right to die should be as respected as the right to live. It should be a matter of personal choice and should be carried out with all the support necessary to make one's last hours comfortable and safe, and one's passing peaceful. It is widely available in some areas.
