How many poisonous snakes are there in the world?

Technically there are none. There is no such thing as a "poisonous" snake. They are venomous, not poisonous. Poison has to be ingested, while venom has to be injected.

However, of the approximately 2400 species of snakes in the world, around 600 are classified as "venomous". The bites from some would not affect a human seriously, while others are potentially fatal.

Edit- Actually, the previous comment about poisonous snakes is incorrect, so far there are at least 4 recognized species of POISONOUS snake, including, Rhabdophis tigrinus, Thamnophis atratus, Thamnophis couchii, Thamnophis sirtalis. Most of which aquire their poison from things they eat such as poisonous frogs and keep the venom in glands on their necks.

What does it mean when you dream that you look into the bottom of the pool and you see three snakes intertwined and swimming in the deep end?

Dreams use figurative language to represent real situations, and the pool probably represents a choice - something the dreamer might be considering "plunging into." But the subconscious mind has detected something that the conscious, waking mind seems to have either missed or ignored. Beneath the surface, in the deep water, there are snakes. In the language of dreams, this represents some sort of danger that is not apparent "on the surface" - by superficial examination. The dreamer needs to consider the situation "in depth" to discover the unseen danger.
