Where can you buy ammo for a J Stevens 32 long model 1915?
First you have to determine exactly which .32 long cartridge it is chambered for. Both S&W and Colt have a proprietory .32 long centerfire cartridge and either of these should be available at any good sporting goods store. There was also a .32 Long Rifle Centerfire cartridge that was discontinued early in the 20th century, but according to Cartridges of the World, either the S&W or Colt cartridge MAY work in these guns. A gunsmith would have to make a chamber cast and measure it to verify this. But if it is chambered for the .32 Long Rimfire cartridge, you are probably out of luck. A few specialty companies occasionally make a limited run of .32 RF, but it is very expensive and hard to find. MY NAME IS JR COFFEE THE ABOVE ANSWER IS AWESOME I AM ADDING THAT ALL GUN SHOWS SELL ANTIQUE AMMO
Are hollow point bullets legal in Arizona?
Yes. NJ has restrictions on carrying hollow point ammunition, Arizona does not. It was brought up by a prosecutor in a murder trial in AZ. A retired school teacher shot a person that was attacking him- the prosecutor attempted to portray his choice of firearm and ammunition as "planning" to kill his attacker. That case is being appealed.
Are hollow point bullets legal in Connecticut?
No there is no law that i am aware of. Although a lot of leos will tell u that without really knowing the law itself. Besides most people would use them for home defense or target shooting. Police are more conserned about people carrying them on thier person while concealing, since it has a more deadly penetrating effect then a regular bullet. But no1 can carry in md anyways.
What is full metal jacket ammo?
A full metal jacket (or FMJ) is a bullet consisting of a soft core (usually made of lead) encased in a shell of harder metal .
Ammo fired down terminal velocity compared to ammo dropped at high altitude?
Fired ammunition from a firearm reaches a much higher initial velocity due to explosive propellant forces. In contrast, ammunition dropped from a high altitude reaches a terminal velocity where gravity pulling down is balanced by air resistance pushing up. The fired bullet maintains its higher velocity until slowed by air resistance and gravity, while dropped ammunition reaches a constant speed due to these opposing forces.
Did the US Government lie about munitions on the Lusitania?
Yes, they did, and I hope the answer to this question makes people reevaluate much of the 20th century. Approximately 4,000,000 rounds of Remington 303 shells were found on board the wreck in September of 2008, much of it in containers labelled "butter." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1098904/Secret-Lusitania-Arms-challenges-Allied-claims-solely-passenger-ship.html
The nickname of this World War II weapon was "Dicke Berta" in German "Fat Berta," or as Allied soldiers soon came to know it "Big Bertha."
Technically, it actually was a mortar, not a cannon.

What weapons and ammo did they use in the Vietnam war?
The "Standard Issue" US military weapons during the Vietnam War were:
1. US M14 Rifle firing .308 Winchester cartridge (7.62mm NATO).
2. US M16 Assault Rifle originally fielded as a "jungle rifle" for Vietnam warfare only; becoming the standard US Rifle by the end of the 1960s decade in Vietnam ONLY. Becoming the standard US Rifle world wide by 1970s. Caliber .223 (5.56mm NATO).
3. M-113 APC/ACAV Armored Personnel Carrier/Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle. Built in 1960; fielded in Vietnam in 1961/62. Most numerous AFV in the Vietnam War (AFV=Armored Fighting Vehicle).
4. M-551 Sheridan light tank; officially designated as the Armored Airborne Reconnaissance Assault Vehicle. Designed and built in the 1960s. FIRST fielded in South Vietnam in January 1969. The US Army's only amphibious tank; and which fired the largest gun-152mm. Built with an aluminum hull and steel turret and firing caseless tank shells. ALL US Armored Cavalry Units in Vietnam were ultimately equipped with ACAVs & Sheridans.
5. M48 Patton medium (90mm) gun tank. The last of the Patton series US tanks.
6. PCF-Patrol Craft Fast, US Navy Swift Boat; all aluminum, 50 feet long, manned by one officer and five crewmen; armed with 3 fifties and one 81mm lanyard fired mortar; part of the US Navy's Brown Water Navy's Riverine Forces.
7. A-7 Corsair II; America's only "designed, built, and blooded in the 1960's" in Vietnam, single seat/single engine jet fighter bomber. Used by both the USN/USAF.
8. World's FIRST designed and built (AH) Attack Helicopter; AH-1 Cobra.
How much ammo did the average soldier carry?
Each soldier carried a different amount depending on job and size of unit. Personal ammo was around 200rounds for rifle, 2-4 grenades, maybe a couple of morter shells, a claymore mine, and extra heavy machine gun ammo. Some soldiers had LAWs which is a rocket launcher and would also carry the rockets for the weapon. Its was more about how much weight a man could carry rather than how much individual ammo.
What is the ammo to kill ratio in Iraq?
As is "normal", figures will vary from year to year, and especially from source to source. But more often than not, the figures given closest to the date of occurrence appear to be the most accurate. During the early 1970's the figure of 3,000 rounds of small arms fire, per enemy casualty, was given. This had a profound effect on individual rifleman tactics. Shortly after these figures were accepted by the US Army, the M-16 rifle's full automatic switch was modified for short bursts. Until there is another change made, Vietnam will be the FIRST and LAST time in history in which the individual rifleman had "Rock an Roll" (full automatic capability).
Is armor piercing ammo illegal to own in Wisconsin?
You can own AP ammo in WI. Not just law enforcement.
Federal law only applies to manufacture, importation, or sale by a dealer to civilians.
It is illegal to manufacture AP ammo without a FFL. It is illegal for a FFL to sell it to you. If you get AP ammo somehow, it is not illegal to possess except with a handgun chambered for it and in the commission of a crime.

Is hollow-point ammunition legal in Michigan?
Yes, it is legal. If you go to your local Dicks or Dunhams store they have hollow points for sale.... I actually went to get some today from Dicks. Their not as legit as the government hollow points which can go through bullet proof vests and bullet proof glass but they will still expand in your opponent and cause major damage. (don't bother trying to get the legit ones its almost impossible unless you work for the government)
How much does a loaded ammo can of 7.62mm NATO rounds weigh?
5.56x45mm NATO, standardized under STANAG 4172, is a rifle cartridge. It is a standard cartridge for NATO forces, and for several nations not part of NATO. It is derived from, but not entirely interchangeable with, the .223 Remington cartridge. This is due to, among other things, the greater gas pressure of the 5.56 mm military round.
What you're asking is impossible to answer here. Firstly, the bullet weights are variable in different loads in the same cartridge. Second, there are powder charge weight variables (different powders, different charge amounts). Thirdly, different brass weights differently. If you have steel cased ammo (for the 5.56x45 and .223) the weight changes yet again. Fourthly, even primers can vary in weight.
There are too many variables to answer this...if you really want to know, buy a cheap balance beam scale and start weighin'.
What type of ammo does the US Army use?
The US Army uses ammunition that meets NATO standards, and they make most of it themselves. I can't be more specific than that because the Army uses a lot of different kinds of ammo. For instance, the 25mm cannon on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle can use six different kinds of ammo. The M16 rifle has a couple different kinds. The M60 machinegun has a few.
Is hollow point ammunition legal in Pennsylvania?
There are no state laws in PA which prevent the use or carry of hollow point ammunition. The reason most people can't 'find' a law specifically relating to 'hollow point' is that laws are typically written for items not allowed or legal. Hence, no mention of hollow points. But, in short, yes hollow point ammo is legal in PA. Happy Hunting!
What is the fastest caliber cartridge from the factory in the world?
The rail gun can fire a bullet at mach 10; this makes it the gun with the fastest muzzle velocity.
However the fastest cyclic rates belongs to FireStorm, a weapon system developed by Australian weapons manufacturer Metal Storm Ltd. Firestorm can be adapted for any standard caliber rounds currently used, from 5.56mm NATO assault weapons to 40mm grenade launchers, and potentially larger howitzer platforms.
The small arms version of firestorm is designed with multiple barrels, stacked in rectangular blocks for 30 or more barrels that are electronically fired. It can maintain a cyclic rate of 1 million rounds a minute for as long as ammunition packs can be loaded. The only reduction in cyclic rate is currently determined by the size of round. The larger the round, the slower the rate.
When bullet penetrates into the target what happens?
There is a Reaction, called recall or kick.
That should read "recoil."
That works out to 922 planes per day flew tactical missions into Khe Sahn during the Siege (That is 38 aircraft in the vicinity of Khe Sahn an hour for a full month. Or think of it as more than a plane every 2 minutes.)
That is what is called close air support.
