Anorexia is an extremely dangerous - and often deadly - eating disorder. It can cause numerous physical health problems, ailments, and deformities, along with a slew of mental health problems, too. A person should never want to strive to become anorexic.

People in the 1870's were not as worried about their weight as we are in our society today so back then it was more attractive for a woman to have extra weight on her. The few cases that there were were carried out by simply observing the person and talking them. They were seen as more of a scientific study than being people anymore.

I'd say no because people can fast for religious reasons for many days and resume their regular eating habits. However, a huge part of anorexia is psychological, so it's hard to say when it really becomes a disease.

While 5 stone is not a very heavy weight, it depends on the height. A tall person would be severly underweight at 5 stone, yet a very short and petite person would not be.

Okay, don't be anorexic. Instead only eat vegetables. Seriously, and once a day eat some nuts not a lot. I lost ten pounds in a week. Seriously, but I also danced 30 minutes a day. When you eat vegetables, it's basically like eating nothing, because your body uses more energy digesting them then eating. That's why people say that you can eating all the vegetables you want when your on a diet, cause you could eat like five bags of carrots and not gain one pound.

He probably means fat - possibly also muscle. If you have trouble with this treatment, talk to your doctor about it. Try to be polite, but they will probably be understanding.

Because good people have limits to what they can do(as in to not hurt others) while evil people have no restraints on what they can and cannot do, allowing them much more freedom to get what they want, and thus hurt others (as in good people).

I have been battling against the disorder with ups and downs for the past 5 years and my identical twin has watched me all this time with frustration, anger and fright. She has always been a healthy weight despite her stages of depression due to my disorder. However currently she has dropped a lot of weight. Friends tell me she is bingeing at night time. I notice at meal times now that she eats VERY little and she has a very vigorous exercise regime; she runs for 40 minutes, goes on the cross-trainer for 30 minutes and then finishes with about half an hour of stomach exercises...DAILY! She is perhaps mirroring what i was doing in front of her. However i am more concerned as at 12 years of age i did not have access to gyms, weights and i was still served food. The danger at 17 is that now she can go to the gym whenever she wants, she has the right to eat what she wants.

To answer your question, I think twins take things in turns... situations normally occur one after the other. It does sound bizarre but I am 90% certain that this is true. Although we are different people I think we both rely on maternal care. I perhaps lacked that as an adolescent but in the past five years our mother's focus has been concentrated on finding care for me...Katharine has therefore felt alone and lost. I think this is another reason why the anorexia has developed in her... it is after all based around attention.

this is how i see it from all I've experienced: no one just gets up one day and suddenly thinks they're fat then decides not to eat. they feel horrid about eating and it makes them feel extreme guilt and they have been obsessing about their body size. and they do decide not to eat because of the way they feel after eating. and they think they will achieve perfect body from all of this, even thought they are slowly dying and will not see if they are getting thinner, because in their heads, they are getting fatter. It is a psychological problem with the person. It's about the last control they feel they have in their lives. In many cases people that become Anorexic feel every part of their lives is controlled by parents, or their peers. The parents could be controlling, or, achievement of that young person is high (don't fail, always win.) The last thing they have control over is their eating habits. They begin to see themselves as looking fat, and, as the above poster said can obsess about their body size. When they look in the mirror (even if their body has become skeletal in appearance) they still feel they are fat. Most Anorexics experience hurt inside of them and feel if they change their body image their lives will be more rewarding and the hurt will go away.

Have this looked at by a professional ASAP. If it is indeed a coolant leak, as in a blown head gasket, serious engine damage can occur.
