How do you install a serpentine belt on a Buick Skylark?
You will have to loosen tentioner to get belt off of all pulleys. Then you need to jack up engine or pick up engine with a lift of some kind, just enough to hold engine in place while you remove upper engine mount, this has to be done so as to slip belt past mount and off engine. Then put new belt in position and bolt mount back in place. Release jack or lift. I usually put belt back on everything but alternator, pull on tensioner and roll back over alternator. This is on a 3100 engine, or 3.1 liter. Hope this helps
Where is the turn signal flasher located in 1997 buick skylark?
Unless there was a design change between 1995 and 1997 for it, the flasher is behind the dash where the steering column goes. It's hard to get at and harder to remove. They just can't make these things easy, can they? What you can do is start the signal and follow the sound of the flasher in order to find it.
Where is transmission modular location on a 1992 Buick Skylark?
In 1992 the transmissions were mechanical. The only electronic component was a solenoid to lock the torque converter. It is controlled by the ECM. This is true for the 4-cyl and V-6.
Your keyless entry only works sometimes any help?
1. Get remote in known working range and push both the lock & unlock bottons at the same time- this will reset the unit. 2.Replace the battery in the remote. Your local radio shack should be able to assist.Repeat step one. 3. New battery - remote still not working - open unit and remove battery even if you didn't install it, you should have watched your Radio Shack guy do it. Proceed with cleaning your remote with Q-tips and rubbing alcohol. Use dielectric grease and apply to o-ring seals very very lightly if handy otherwise never mind. Now reassemble and repeat step 1. 4. It may be time for a new remote entry unit. Shop around, you can usually get an alarm system for your truck with the remote entry unit for just a fraction more than a replacement unit which is dealer only at this time. GOOD LUCK == == Also, if you have installed or had installed any type of window tint, this frequently interferes with remote entry systems and gps receivers. They make a high end type of tint known as ceramic tint which causes no interference, but it is very pricey and is not worth the initial buy. Hope this helps!
Why would the brake lights stop working on a 1994 Buick Skylark if the fuses and bulbs are okay?
the brake light switch down at the brake pedal is most likely bad .
AnswerFirst, use a test light to check to see if the bulbs are getting power. If not, check the stop light switch. This is the switch connected to the brake pedal. When the brake pedal is pushed, this switch closes the circut and causes the brake lights to come on.
AnswerThe brake lights are wired through the hazard switch, Turn the hazard lights on and off several times, the brake lights should start working.
the hazzard swith has a little plastic piece that dry rots over time, go to junkyard and by the switch, very simole job, cost me 25 cents
How do I change the serpentine belt on a 1996 Skylark?
There should be a tension pulley that keeps the belt tight. I have used a ratchet socket to release the tension. The belt can then be slipped off the pulley. Be sure to note the way the belt is wrapped around the various pulleys before doing this. It can be confusing to figure this out afterwards.
What is the firing order for a 1993 Buick Skylark 3.3L V6?
According to Haynes Manual for Buick, Pontiac and Olds, all V6s have the following timing order. 1-6-5-4-3-2
the unit of torque is NM.
Torque has dimensions of force times distance. Official SI literature suggests using the unit newton metre (N·m) or the unit joule per radian.[8] The unit newton metre is properly denoted N·m or N m.
Torque, moment or moment of force is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis.
The magnitude of torque depends on three quantities: the force applied, the length of the lever arm[2] connecting the axis to the point of force application, and the angle between the force vector and the lever arm. In symbols:
whereτ is the torque vector and τ is the magnitude of the torque,r is the displacement vector (a vector from the point from which torque is measured to the point where force is applied), and r is the length (or magnitude) of the lever arm vector,F is the force vector, and F is the magnitude of the force,× denotes the cross product,θ is the angle between the force vector and the lever arm vector.
Is there a reset button for the fuel pump somewhere and if so, where is it?
The only thing common to all those lights (but not to the center brake light) is the hazard switch. I'd check that next. On my 96 Century the hazards override the signals and brake lights meaning that the signals and brake lights must be wired into the hazard switch somehow.

Why does abs light turns on in your 97 Buick skylark?

How do you install rear speakers in a 94 Buick Skylark?
The official method of doing so is by first removing the back seat, then the trim which goes from the bottom of the doorwells to the ceiling, then you are supposed to remove the plastic panels between where the trim was and the rear windshield. Now you would remove the panel covering the speakers, from here it's easy, just unscrew the speakers. I managed to simply remove the plastic panels between the rear windshield and door, and removing the panel over the speakers with only some difficulty. I have also heard that people have had luck by simply unscrewing the speakers from the trunk with a pliers or something of the like.

Get the green arrow to stay on. Now get out of the car and walk around it, looking for the turn signal bulb that stays on. That bulb has a bad ground. I fixed mine (very) temporarily with aluminum foil, then later by running a new ground wire. I just wrapped stripped wire around the base of the bulb and ran it to a ground.
