My guess is if your going to try to steal a car it wouldn't be a 92 olds, there are far too many without alarms to begin with and even knowing where they hook up won't do any good if your trying to bypass it. The answer is dependent upon the brand of alarm, the model number, and what accessories that's installed in the vehicle. If you know this you can look up the installation procedure, which is probably available at the manufactures website or you can contact someone who installs that brand and explain your need for knowing to them, and if it's a legit reason, I see no reason why they wouldn't oblige your request

go to autozone and buy a haynes repair manual for your civic and look at the wiring diagrams, to find where u can tap into the wires with the alarm, i just did mine and everything works good with it.. i think the book is about 15 - 20 doll hairs not to bad lol or you can go to a local Honda dealership and ask a mechanic about it... or even autozone lol theres alot of help and I've found the internet isn't alwasy the best

Close all the doors then use your key, keying through the door key hole to turn lock then turn to unlock all the doors.

Which alarm? If you are talking about the Maint. alarm that is done by holding down the milage reset button on the dash and then putting the key in the ignition and turning it until the warning lights come on, then wait until the Maint light goes out about 15 seconds, then turn off the ignition and then release the the milage reset button.

10-10-09 This was performed on a 2000 Chevy Astro van but may not apply to other years or models. First I found the siren under the hood and cut the negative wire going to it, then I found the gm accessory brain (alarm system) tie wrapped under the dash, just above the brake pedal. I unplugged the wide white connector on the end of it and the van started and everything worked.

If your alarm keeps sounding after the car is locked then there must be a fault. Try making sure all the vents are shut in the car and try it, other than that i rekon it should still be under warranty. Take it back to dealer. hope this helps

I have a Mk2 and have disabled the alarm system because it kept going off at random. The main problem seems to be the bonnet (engine hood) switch, which on mine is above the left headlamp (headlight). Covered in a protective rubber cap. Well instead of buying a new one I simply cut the wires, that's it! You can also reach into bodywork on left inside boot (trunk) and pull wires from the horn!!!

There is a module behind the carpet..drivers side next to where your right foot goes. I have the same problem with a 1997 Chevy Van. The problem seems to be that GM states that a 50 milliamp draw will kill the battery, and that the alarm system is < 50 milliamp, but I can find out how much less.

I have killed several batteries because of this.

Now the trick is to put in a new battery.

When you connect a new battery, the alarm goes off.

To prevent this, with the new battery disconnected, turn the key in the ignition to ON. Make sure the door is closed, and then connect the battery.

This prevents the alarm from going off.

What I did was to install a battery disconnect switch that I use when the van is sitting for more than a week. Now after it has been sitting for awhile, I go out, put in the key, flip the battery switch, hop back in and the car starts.

The AW77-004 watch should have four buttons, ST./STP., RESET, MODE, and LIGHT. To toggle the alarm on/off, press and hold the RESET button. While holding the RESET button, tap the ST./STP. button. You will notice the small arrow appear/disappear next to ALARM. When the arrow is present, the alarm is on, so when the arrow is not there, you have successfully turned it off!

some car alarms have a backup battery in them. thses batteries if worn out can stop the alarm working.also sometimes the battery in the remote needs replacing to work

Most car alarms trigger by a voltage drop, check your battery and charging system. Some also have a motion sensor that if set too senseitive will trigger if the wind blows, loud car goes by, ect.
