Why the car shakes when the air conditioning is on?
The bolts holding the air conditioner compressor could be loose or the A/C pulley could be out of balance.
What causes a stabilizing bar to break?
one cause can be defective material, 2nd could be to much stress as in extreme
cornering, 3rd you bent it while off roading and it has a weak point that snapped
What causes vibration in a car?
Sometimes broken engine mounts, rough engine performance problems, worn out harmonic balancers, and transmission problems. People expect to get a specific answer for all of their questions, especially in automobiles, but in reality, an automobile is a complex piece of machinery that needs very precise inputs and calibrations to run properly. Thus, there are many different arrays of problems that can cause similar symptoms. Other causes at speed are bent wheel, tire out of balance. warped rotor, etc.
What would cause your accord to jerk and NOT accelerate at 3000 rpms in each gear?
igniter is possibility
What causes the steering to wooble at highway speeds?
Tires and/or wheels out of balance Also: Bad alignment--too much toe-out, loose/worn struts, bad ball joints. bad CV joints, worn tie rod ends (inner and/or outer), bad tire--slipped belt. Steering rack worn out. Check tires for abnormal wear (cupping and shoulder wear first)
How do you tell if your wheel is bent?
Any decent alignment shop or place that sells and installs tires can remove the wheel, remove the tire, and check the wheel to see if it is bent. If it is bent very badly, just jacking up that wheel and spinning it by hand, you can see that it is bent.
With the front end lifted and supported on jack stands, try moving the wheels in a steering motion. You should not be able to move them at all with the steering locked if your tie-rod ends are in good order. Some play is expected, but anything more than 1/16th of an inch is bad. Also try prying on the ball joint on the ends of the tie-rods up. If they move at all, they are bad.

Why is the car wheel shaking when stopping?
There could be several reasons why the steering wheel in shaking when you are coming to a stop. Below are some things to check for: 1.You may have a knot in the side wall of one or more of your tires. 2.If you have recently had your tires rotated, this may cause your steering wheel to shake. This is because you have waited to long to rotate your tires. Put the tires back to their previous location, however, this may not correct the problem. 3.Check to see if all of your tires are wearing evenly. If they are not, take your vehicle to a certified auto shop to have the alignment corrected.
What can cause the steering wheel to shake?
Check all linkage for wear or play, jack under each a-arm one at a time ,move tires left to right for linkage/ up and down for bearings & ball joints and cv axles if you get play or pop's and clicks have some one follow the noise. Shake's during braking, rotors are warped due to hot rotors hitting cold water puddles on the road. Shakes to the left or right,if the steering wheel shakes to the left put the left front tire on the right side, test drive if it starts shaking to the right that will be the bad tire,vise-versa if shakes to the right .Replace that tire and get a alignment check, steering wheel shakes are front tires, the whole car skaking is the rear tires. This is due to uneven wear on the tire the eye can't see. WORN CVC OR U-JOINTS, UNBALANCED TIRES( COULD BE CAUSED BY LOSS OF A WHEEL WEIGHT, MUD OR SNOW IN YOUR WHEEL), BENT RIM, ECT. If you have directional tires make sure they are on the right sides LOTS of THINGS; First define when it shakes and how it shakes. Tires at highway speed; tire balance / improper wear (may be alignment issue). I have had intermittent vibration from using a different tire on front. When Brakes are applied: front rotors warped (worst at higher speed)but I have found numerous steering linkage issues (vibration at slower / not all speeds). Steering Linkage- vibration when hitting bumps on highway: tire rod ends, idler arm, pitman arm, panhard rod ends (if equiped), ball joints, could also be worn steering box (usually hard steering issues). There could be suspension issues like a damaged strut (not just worn-out). Checking: No engine, running get under front end and have someone turn steering wheel lightly back and forth, any joints should move in tandem (no looseness). You'll look for movement that is not consistent. Another way is to bottle jack under lower A arm on one side / get wheel off ground, grab wheel and move laterally back/forth from outside vehicle. There should be no play or noises when pulling hard. THEN put tire iron under wheel and pull up. Wheel should move vertically without shifting. This checks ball joint play. Look for inconsistent movement of wheel. Some have upper/lower ball joint, some have lower ball joint/strut. Sorry, does take some experience to know what is acceptable. If it bad problem it can be seen. Service manuals sometimes describe maximum movement for the technicians. Diagnois FIRST before replacing parts.
Often, this sort of an issue crops up when your wheels are inappropriately balanced, or the tires have worn unevenly. But sometimes loose bolts of the wheel or a distorted brake rotor could be the culprits. In case of a disfigured brake rotor consider replacement. The other issues can be taken care of by an expert. Besides bent rims and or bad tires what else can cause serious car shaking at high speeds?
A bent hub flange or axle flange can cause this. This can also happen if a wheel rim fits poorly to the brake rotor/drum due to being an incorrect rim for the vehicle or buildup of rust on hub/axle/brake rotor/ brake drum/ wheel rim. Missing centering adapters or incorrect lug nut seating can also cause an off center or out-of plane wheel rim mounting on the vehicle.
Damaged or unbalanced drive axles, driveshafts, and related bearings can cause such vibrations.
Loose wheel bearings can cause these vibrations also.
NEVER let anyone tell you that your shocks can do this. You can take your shocks off and it will NOT cause a shake. It sounds like you might have a bad tie rod end. , Ray
For a possible simpler fix, try having your tires balanced, rotated, and aligned. This can work wonders. Even a simple balancing may do the trick.
could be a bad u joint
If there is a build up of mud or ice frozen on the rim. Steering dampner or u-joint IF you have either, something embedded into the tire such as tar, loose chassis parts such as tie rod ends as mentioned, play in a rack, loose rack mounts, out of balance wheel. NOT alignment.
I had the same problem a few months ago. It turned out to be a split in one of my rear tyres; quite a large split in fact, the tread had badly come away from the main tyre. It was (apparently) most likely caused by salt/grit on the roads building up in my tread then swelling in wet weather. My mechanic automatically went to rebalance my wheels when I reported it but then found the tear, he was surprised that it was causing such a violent shudder and even more surprised that it hadn't burst!
You have a real problem that requires professional help. the car has to be put up on a lift and examined. it could be ball joints l tires, front end alignment and the list goes on. it is a very dangerous situatiion and you should receive immediate help.
Why would your car vibrate alot when stopped and foot is on the brake?
I have worked on a few vehicles that have done the same thing you are explaining. It took me a while to find it but it turned out one of the engine mounts had the rubber bushing gone basically worn out. With the car in gear and your foot on the brake it puts a load on the motor causing it to bounce off the motor mount where the rubber used to be.
What causes a car to shake and vibrate when accelerating up to 70 or better?
Normally a bent wheel or tire out of balance.

Cylinder coil on Mitsubishi eclipse keeps going bad why?
it might be next to something hot. or there is to much power going to that coil. it might be next to something hot. or there is to much power going to that coil.
Do bad ball joints make your wheel shake?
Wheel shaking is caused by a balance problem, either a tire needs to be balanced, a wheel is bent or there is a problem with an axle.
HOWEVER!
Most vehicles can tolerate a tire/wheel that is a LITTLE out of balance provided that everything is functioning properly.
Among the list of things that must be functioning properly are the ball joints. Worn ball joints make the front end loose and the vehicle does not handle properly. If you suspect worn ball joints, replace them.
Should Automobile be fixed or replaced?
To the intelligent person, that decision should be a function of the value of the REPAIRED vehicle as compared to the projected cost of repair.
You should determine the value of the vehicle BEFORE repair, add that amount to the cost of repair and if that total is MORE than the value of the vehicle after repair, sell the vehicle without repair.
Some people have an emotional attachment to a vehicle. That changes the way you make decisions.
Tire out of balance, low air pressure, broken or slipped belt in tire, or wheel mounted incorrectly. Remove both front wheels, inspect the tires for bulges, dips, or feathering, inflate to correct PSI, reinstall and torque in a criss cross pattern to proper torque. If you still have the problem have the tires checked for proper balance. You should always check the balance when rotating tires.
