What does the est light mean on your car panel?
ESC is Electronic Stability Control. ETC stands for Electronic Traction Control. Never seen or heard of EST in autos.
Why would a car shake when applaying the breaks?
Most times it is because the brake drums or rotor sufaces are warped by overheating and need regrinding to remove the uneven high spots. Also if on an older car they may have been ground so often they are thin and warp easily - and need replacement. High speed and frequent hard braking causes overheating

Will it damage your motor if I don't replace an oxygen sensor on an 1991 Chevy lumina?
Probably not, but it will certainly cost in fuel, performance and excessive emissions.
Is it normal for cars to veer to the right?
No. Get it to the shop and quick. At least its a soft tyre. Worst is you have brake or wheel alignment problems or a suspension component failure.
Why would your car only shake really bad at 33MPH to 37MPH?
cause your intake valve is bent You probably have a bad tire or rim. I'd go with the tire or rim answer.
Why does right front tire vibrate so much?
Possible bent rim or tire out of round.(defective) answer tire out of balance is the best place and cheapest place to start
What does it mean when your car shakes?
Need more info like what is the vehicle doing when it shakes, is it idling in park, driving down the road, braking, driving at highway speeds, etc.
Can worn struts cause the steering wheel to shake?
Steering vibration is almost always caused by the tires/wheels or the the front suspension. Either your wheels are out of balance or one or both of your tires is defective. There could be a broken belt in the tire that is causing the vibration. If you don't want to take your vehicle to a tire store right away, you can check by reversing tires front to back. If your problem is with the tires, the problem should go away after reversing the tires. However, I don't recommend you do nothing about the problem. Last summer one of the front tires of my pickup had a bad belt, which caused the tire vibrate violent at high speed, and within a few miles, the tire tread separated and fell off. Had I not slowed down before the tire separated, I would have most certainly lost control of the vehicle. The prudent thing to do is take it to a reputable tire store. I recommend you take it to a Goodyear-owned service center. By reversing the tires first, you will know if it is a bad tire/wheel and nothing else. That will give you peace of mind when the mechanic tells you what your problem is.
If the vehicle has a lot of miles on it, a worn tie rod could also be the cause. A good mechanic will check for wheel balance first since that is a lot less expensive. Replacing one or both tie rods can cost several hundred dollars.
If one or more tires are defective, you should get an adjustment to the cost of replacing them. You may have to take them to the tire store where you purchased them. If they came with a new car, take the car to the auto dealership.
Worn strut usually cause the vehicle to bounce up and down harder. You can test them by pushing down on the car to make it bounce. If the car bounces more that a couple of times the struts/shocks are beginning to show signs of wear. Worn or defective struts generally don't cause steering wheel vibration.
Why does your car shake and cut off while driving in the morning?
only in the morning? cold morning, warm morning? how many miles do you get in you travels before this happens?
What are the symptoms of a wheel on a car that is out of balance?
When a car wheel is out of balance it will cause the car to vibrate at certain speeds. You may (or may not) feel this in the steering wheel. Normally the vibration will not happen at all speeds. From a start as you go faster and faster it will begin at some speed and get worse and as you increase speed to some point, after wich as you go yet faster it will subside again. In my experience the vibration is worst somewhere between 40-60 MPH. If the vibration happens a low speeds it's not likely to be wheel balance.
One way to determine if you have an out of balance tire is to let a friend drive behind and beside you. Tell him on your cell phone when the vibration becomes obvious. If the wheel is out of balance it will begin to bounce up and down rather than just roll smoothly on the ground.
Why would your 1998 Saturn run rough at idle when it is warm?
Check the EGR valve. Then run a computer diagnostic test. You can usually borrow, rent or buy a code scanner from most auto parts retailers. Some will even help you connect the code scanner to the port under the dashboard.
Brake pads can be staying applied to rotor causing excesive heat build-up and warp the rotor. Usualy caused by faulty caliper or caliper slides or caliper bracket. Also possible partially collapsed brake hose to caliper and incorrect or un even wheel lug torque. And also could be caused by person cutting rotors. The best machine to cut rotors is the machine that attaches to the vehicle and cuts the rotor on the car.
Which has lower freezing point freon 11 or freon 22?
Refrigerants do not freeze. They are used due to their favorably low boiling points, so I am going to assume that is what you are asking. The answer would be R-22 which boils at - 62*F where R-11 boils at 74.7*F. These listed boiling points are at atmospheric pressure at sea level (0 psig/ 14.7 psia).
Would hitting a large piece of wood on the freeway cause your car to shake?
If it was big enough, yes
What causes a car to shake at low speeds?
In many cases the issue is with an out of balance tire, you can have them all balanced fairly cheaply and a rotation is probably in order, I believe it's all in the same price, after that the alignment could be the cause, if the wheels are not straight forward they will shake, and newer cars need 4 wheel alignment, after that it could be your engine timing or a bad engine support.,
It could be your bushings.
How do you fix a shaking steering wheel?
You probably need to get your tires balanced.
Or replaced. If the bias goes (steel belt breaks or shifts), the car will waddle at low speeds, and the steering wheel will shake at high speeds.
What would make your car wobble feeling like a flat tire at low speeds?
broken belt in a tire. if you feel it in the steering wheel it usually a front tire or a rear if you can feel it in the seat
Is it safe to drive if vibrations noise from car wheels?
No it isn't because it means something has gone wrong with your car.
Would a transmission leak make your car shake at 65 mph?
Not likely. Normally this is caused by a tire out of balance or a bent wheel.
Wobble, shimmy, tank-slapper, speed wobble, and even death wobble are all words and phrases used to describe a quick (4 - 10 Hz) oscillation of primarily just the steerable wheel(s) of a vehicle. The rest of the vehicle remains mostly unaffected. Vehicles that can experience this oscillation include bikes, both motorcycles and bicycles, skateboards, and in theory any vehicle with a single steering pivot point and a sufficient amount of freedom of the steered wheel; this does not include most automobiles.
Why is your Mitsubishi vibrating?
Can be tire out of balance, bent wheel, defective tire, broken motor mount, or bent drive shaft.
