How do you change dashboard lights on a 1996 beretta?

If you mean the instrument cluster, it's actually kind of a pain in the butt.

You need a Phillips screw driver, flat head screw driver, and a 1/4" ratchet driver or Torx T6 driver.

1) Start by looking under the headlight switch, you'll see two screws. Remove those.

2) Now look under the wiper control switch, remove those two screws.

3) If your Beretta has a tilting steering wheel, move it as far down as you can.

4) Now this is the tricky part, because it doesn't seem like it's the right thing to do, but this is how you do it. Grab the curved plastic over instrument cluster and pull. You'll hear creaking sounds, then it will come loose, starting near the windshield then will come off.

5) Disconnect the headlight wiring harness

6) Disconnect the wiper wiring harness.

7) There should be 4 black screws along the white outer shell of the instrument cluster. Top Right, Top Left, Bottom Right and Bottom Left. Check all the way around because there may be two on top of the steering column as well. Use either the Torx or ratchet to remove all the screws.

8) Gently pull the instrument cluster out, and flip it over. You'll see a greenish/brown circuit board with white or black thumb screws. Those are the lights. Just turn the ones that are burnt and pull them out, pull the bulb out and replace.

Once you have all the lights replaced that are burnt out, just repeat the steps in reverse.

Why is water leaking on the driver side floor in a 1989 beretta?

your beretta has a leak!

It comes into the air ducts right below the windshield! Wonderful of Chevy to do this to you, but after about ten years, the vents will warp and allow water to drip into the compartment below the dash.

No worries - you won't have electrical failure. If you live in a rainy climate, you'll have at least 2 inches of water build-up in either the front or back floor area.

Choice number 1. Purchase a Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner.

Choice number 2. Fix the Chevy screw-up!

You must build (from scratch) a shield on top of the air intake for the heater, below the windshield. Don't ask me where to buy one, but I made one out of long sheets of durable plastic, (I'm a handyman) and screwed them into place.) They must be angled towards the front of the car, so rain can run off, and into the engine compartment, but not into the air intake vents.

Then, buy a new car and stay clear of Beretta. I had one for 16 years, (INDY) and it was hard to part with, but you MUST DO IT!

Buy an older Toyota MR2, you'll be glad you did.

How much horsepower does a 1991 3.1 v6 automatic have?

It depends on the condition of the engine, and how well its been maintained. A stock 1991 3.1L MPFI V6 was rated at 140hp, but private dynos over the years have show numbers as high as 152hp, depending on the make/model/condition of the vehicle. Several factors are attributed to hp loss/gain.

Is it possible to replace the 3.1V6 engine in a 95 Beretta with a 3.4 V6 without replacing the transmission if they both use a 4 speed automatic transmission?

Yes it is a direct fit. Although it is best to refer to the engines as 3100 and 3400, respectively, so as not to confuse them with 3.1L MPFI (1990-1994) and 3.4L. They are all different engines.

How do you break down a 22 beretta?

93 Chevy beretta water pump?

On a 3.1L V6, it is located on the passenger side of the engine, towards the front. There is a smooth, shiny metal pulley over the top of it. To remove/replace it, you will need to loosen the tension on the belt by raising the belt tensioner pulley, located on the bottom directly below the alternator. Once loose, slip the belt up over the alternator pulley, and lower the tensioner. Remove the 4 bolts holding the pulley onto the water pump. To prevent the pulley from turning, slip a large flathead screwdriver (or tire iron) into the hole in the motor mount directly above the water pump pulley. This will bind against the bolts as you make your way around. Be sure to loosen all bolts first before completely removing them. Once they're all loose, you can remove them by hand, and slip the pulley off the water pump. There are 5 small bolts holding the water pump to the engine. They are spaced around the outside ccircumference of the water pump. Once all 5 are removed, the water pump should come out. If not, tap on it lightly with a rubber mallet. Sometimes the gasket sealent likes to stick. Once removed, be sure to scrape all traces of the old gasket material, and clean the surface with acetone. Installation is the reverse or removal. Check for lost coolant, and add more if needed to the proper level. Start the engine and allow it to reach opearting temperature. Check for leaks. None? You're done!

How do you get the drum off 96 Chevy beretta to change rear brake shoes?

Make to chock the front tires and leave the emergency brake off. Jack the vehicle and remove the wheel. The drum is only held on by being squeezed between the hub and the tire, so when new they just slide right off. However, if you live in the rust belt you will have to beat the hell out of it with a hammer. First, get some good penetrating fluid like "PB Blaster" or "Liquid Wrench" and soak the area around the center hub and lugs. Second, try gently gently tapping on the studs (bolts) but be careful not to miss or you will bugger up the threads. If it still wont come off get a bigger hammer and hit it from the back, being careful not the damage too much while swinging away. Continue rotating the drum while beating on it so as to remove it evenly so it doesn't get wedged.

Your 1989 Beretta will not start it turns over and the lights all work fine?

Could be many things. This model year had weak coil packs. You might want to check that.

Answerit is possible that the fuel pump is not working or you have some bad gas that's the best i can do

wolverine

AnswerTurn the key forward without turning the car on and listen for the fuel pump to "buzz" (Best if you have the door open with your foot pushing to door open/ajar switch so you don't hear the continuous "PING, PING" of the door.) If you hear the pump, pull a spark plug, reattach it to the plug wire, rest it somewhere in the engine (JUST DON'T HOLD IT IN YOUR HAND!!!) and have someone try to start the car. If you don't see a spark at the plug, spent $18 and purchase a crank sensor. More then likely your problem. AnswerI would say one of two things the coil packs ,but it is unlikley that all coil packs go bad at once,so the one I would try is the icm ignition control modual, get one from the junk yard first instead of spending a lot on new if its not it. AnswerI had the same problem. Turned out I needed to replace the coil packs and the ignition sensor.Had those replaced and the car fired right up on the first turn. Answertry a new computer id get one from the bone yard that u no is good AnswerI would try getting a code key from autozone and checking the code book for the code it gave you. I would also trie the ignition module or the computer.
