Is there a fuse for the rear hatch?

Yes, many vehicles have a fuse dedicated to the rear hatch or liftgate, which controls its electrical functions such as the opening mechanism and lights. You can typically find the fuse in the vehicle's fuse box, which may be located under the dashboard or in the engine compartment. It's important to consult your vehicle's owner manual for the specific location and rating of the fuse related to the rear hatch. If the hatch is not functioning, checking and replacing the fuse could be a helpful troubleshooting step.

Is there any harm caused by taking an automatic shift out of park when the brake is not pressed down all the way?

Well normally from the mid 90's cars you shouod not be able to move the shift lever out of park w/o stepping on the brake - if you can then the brake interlock relays or system is broken. You should always put on your parking brake when you have the shift lever in park. There is a small pin that goes in the xmission to preent it from moving. It can brake and cause damage to the xmission. == Answer ++ Also, if you put a car into gear while giving it gas, you are putting extra stress on the transmission. You could damage the transmission. And NEVER shift into part while the car is moving.

The 4 wheel drive doesn't work on my 2005 Chevy blazer what is the most common problem with them?

most common is the vacuum actuators (one under the battery and one on top of the transfer case) kind of a pain to get at both, but it's a cheap part.

What kind of oil is best for Chevy 2004 blazer with high miles?

I would recommend SAE 10w30 if you drive in temperatures above zero. Below 0 use SAE 5w30. Pennzoil makes a high mileage oil that may be of benefit. I use it in my Toyota that has 125,000 miles on the odometer.

What is the reason for the use of left right handed threads on wheel studs?

The reasonI have never seen left handed threads used on wheel studs ( lugs ) but the reason they are ever used is because the motion of the part is counter clockwise ( mostly ) which may cause the nut to loosen over time from the constant turning in the counter clockwise direction, that is the reason that castlenated nuts with cotter pins are used on wheel spindles and ball joints now to prevent tightening or loosening from motion. answerall heavy trucks have left hand threaded wheel nuts on one side. the reason is, so tightening direction is the same as the forward diection , when vehicle is being driven. this helps avoid loosening wheel nuts. some cars also have left and right hand threaded studs on opposite sidesA 1965 dodge dart 270 had reversed threads on the studs. it was a positive traction rear-end.

How do you replace the clutch and bearing on a ac compressor for a 2002 Chevrolet blazer?

This requires special tools to remove and install the ac clutch and bearing. The air gap on the ac clutch must be done during install.

How can you fix a rod from knocking?

Replace the bearing set, change oil 3 times using high viscosity oil, once after 3 min of run time, once after 15 min and once after 100 miles.

Why won't a 1996 Chevy blazer go into four wheel drive?

there are a few possibilities of what could be causing your particular issue.

(1) if your blazer is a dash shift, (2hi - 4hi - 4lo) and when you press the 4wd button and the light blinks a few times and goes back to 2wd check the fuses then wiring.

(2) if you engage the 4wd and get a whirring noise that seems to increase when you brake... there is a linear actuator on the front diff pot that commonly malfunctions on this model. these are usually available from a wreckers (I believe the interchange is 95-96) 3 bolt fairly easy fix... also check the vacuum (actuator) unit under the battery tray on the passenger side it has to be unhooked to remove the linear actuator anyhow. and make sure you unplug the little plug on the side.

(3) the transfer case may not be functioning. other than taking it to a mechanic the only thing I can think of is disconnect the front drive shaft attempt to put it in 4wd (make sure the vehicle is secure preferably turned off) and manually try to turn the front coupling that the drive shaft was attached to by hand.

(4) if you get a noise from the front left or right and grinds a lot when you turn you may need to replace the front axles (the ends can become damaged and effect the 4wd rare but apparently happens, you will more than likely need to replace the front diff as well if this is the case)

(5) if you select 4 and get a whirring and grinding or rattling/grinding from the front (or have eliminated the rest) have a look at the front diff pot (painful job :P) take your time you may have to disassemble the entire front suspension remove the front drive shaft unbolt the 4 through bolts that hold the assembly in place (you may have to unhook the Power steering box and linkage and move it out of the way too) it will take some careful twisting and shifting to get it out but though difficult it is possible with almost no force.

these are all that come to mind right now I hope this helps if you can have a licenced mechanic or someone with the relevent mechanical experience look over the problem

Is the 2002 4.3L Blazer an aluminum head engine?

No, the motor is the iron headed 4.3 v-6. Same motor minus a few differences from 1994-03. The 4.3 is basically a 350 5.7 liter motor with the last two cylinder's cut off to create a V-6. All Chevy 350 parts are interchangeable with the 4.3, minus the crank shaft and cam shaft, intake.

Why do you only get 190 miles to a tank of gas in 96 Chevy blazer?

I have a "1999" Chevy Blazer that went from 280-320 to a full tank of gas to around 180-200 to a full tank. I've replaced everything since 2007 and the only thing I can find is the change in gas. %10 percent "Ethanol" is killing my Blazer. The only other thing it might be is the "Torque Converter Solenoid" which I haven't replaced yet. I bought a "CarMD", and it showed no problems.

Of course using 10% ethanol will effect mileage but not by that much. A defective torque converter solenoid will defiantly cause excess fuel usage as the converter is not locking up and your engine is turning far more RPMs than it would if all was working as it should. Replace the solenoid.
