if you are carbureted you probably need a rebuildcarburetor kit,unless your fuel pump is not putting out enough voltage to push fuel. Good Luck...

Code 44- Lean exhaust indicated. Check for possible lean fuel possibilities, such as low pressure caused by faulty regulator, fuel pump or fuel lines kinked or partially collapse, vacuum leaks, clogged air filter or fuel filter.. Check wiring and connections to O2 sensor. Check ground terminals to ecm. Replace O2 sensor.

Under the hood, towards the front, more towards the driver's side (unless you have a UK RHD model).

barrs stop leak will work on most smaller holes and cracks if you can not find that you could try silver stopper also found at most part stores

If you can see the crack, you could use some fine sandpaper (when it's cool) and sand down the area to be patched, then wipe it clean, and apply some 'quicksteel' compound- found at most hardware or auto supply stores. JB weld works well, too. Ideally, since quicksteel sets fast, put this on first, wait an hour, then apply a thin coat of JB weld on top, and let it sit overnight before driving. You may even put some stop leak fluid for good measure.

I have a '98 C1500, and it does the same thing. Diagnosis: Multi Function switch. What I want to add: Your vehicle, like mine, has an air bag. Unless you know the proper procedures involved in working around them, do yourself a favor and take it to a shop. It is not worth the risk to save a few bucks. This is at most a 2 hour repair, $60-$120 labor, plus the part. My $.02.

I have the same problem with my 98 Blazer yes it does seem to be the MF switch (Multi- Function) and yes better off to have a shop do it for you.

just had the same problem and it seams that it is the ignition switch behind the barrel but i am trying to find someone who knows where the relese pin is and in which position the key has to be in

There is no specific position where the key has to be.... It all happens when you switch off the car in turning position of the wheel. When ever you feel you are trying to ignit switch and looks like, it is lock or you are unalble to turn the switch on.... only turn your wheel and try again. That's it. Your key will be released enabling you to turn the key in order to ingnition...

there should be a screw on the back of your tach, remove screw and cover careful not to pull the wires. there should be a switch labled 4,6,8 for number of cylenders. put it on six if that's what you have. red wire goes to switched 12v (best bet is on yourr fuse panel), white wire goes to instrument cluster light switch, black is obviously ground, and the green wire goes to your coil. if your blazer has the 4.3 your coil should have two harneses each with two wires. one set of wires, red and white(closest to the firewall) goes to your distrubuter. the other harnes should have a red wire and a white or tan wire. the white wire farthest from your firewall (on the right side of the coil) is where you should connect your green wire. hope this helps

It could be a problem that is showing up intermittently. Most of those types of problems are stored in the computer, so you could probably borrow, rent or buy an OBD2 code scanner that would tell you what's going on. Check with your local auto parts retailer. They can often give you a little assistance on those types of issues, especially if you could go in during an off-peak time. Good luck.

The number one reason the "Check Guages" light comes on is for you to check the guages. It is almost always because your temperature guage is reading really high and when you start off,the temp goes down and the light goes out. Another is the oil pressure guage. If it goes low while ideling such as at a stop light, the "Check Guages" light comes on and goes out when you start off again and the oil pressure goes up.

The 1997 Chevy Blazer shifter cable will have swivel nuts on each end of the cable. Connect the shifter cable and turn the swivel nuts to the right to install the shifter cable.

put it into four wheel drive I have a 99, the best way is to go forward about 6 to 8 feet, DO NOT BACK UP. or it will not go in to 4 weel drive and many time will not move.

Problem is that the heater core is the highest point in the cooling system. being a closed system any air that enters is trapped in the heater core. Result, no heat.

Recommended repair is to back flush heater core, refill cooling system making sure all air is released from the heater core. Replacement of the radiator cap at the time of repair is recommended.

Hi, I tried LMC but they dont have the chrome bolts with the captive washer.

My 1983 takes 10 short bolts and 6 that attach to the back of the cab.

I know this has been awhile so you probably have it fixed but Ill take a stab at it anyway. The locking mechanism can fail and the only thing you can do is call a lock smith. But, before you do look at 2 things. Several models have a lock button on the steering column that you must push to release the key. This can loose a pin and not work. Also it needs to be in the off position. You might need to remove the cover to see it. Some have an ACC position is is all the way counter clock wise. You need to be in the off position one click in the clockwise direction to get the key out. Lastly if the steering column is locked it can have pressure on the key not allowing it to move into the right position to come out. Just apply a turning force against the wheel and then try and turn it.

I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer with the same problem I traced the stop light wires back to the turn signal assembly. By taking the steering column plastic off you use a torx bit and a pair of vise grips to get the bolts out of the turn signal assembly. Otherwise GM says you need to pull the steering wheel . They still recommend you pull the airbag fuse. I pulled the fuse and disconnected the battery. I found a slightly melted connector behind wiring connection point. With a replacement turn signal assembly the brake lights now work. Be sure to find a aftermarket or salvage yard switch due to GM wanting alot of money for OEM.
