The control of vents on the Third Generation Camaro's is done with vaccum rather than via cable or electrical means. The problem is being caused by a vaccum leak either at the control unit or somewhere along the vaccum source line. Best check for leaks on both side of the firewall. Also, the control unit may need to be replaced.

My Camaro had the exact same problem and it was a vacuum hose leak.

i hate to let you know this but you have water in the oil pan which means that you may have a blown head gasket. the antifreeze is draining into the engine by draining into the cylinder or cylinders and dripping into the engine case. do not run the engine with this condition as it will seriously damage the engine. you may also have a crack in the water jacket inside the engine block which would allow antifreeze to drain into the engine case.

I couldn't wait any longer, so I tackeled the job myself. First of all, it's not the same procedure as described for the 1999 Camaro...that didn't work. First you have to elevate the car so that you can safely get under the front of it. Right in front of the right front tire you will notice several 10mm bolts holding up the plastic under panning. Remove those bolts, then drop down the plastic under panning and this will expose the back of the right front turn signal. Just reach up and twist out the bulb receptical to remove it and replace the old bulb with a 3157NALL bulb. It only takes about 10 minutes once you get the front of the car safely elevated enough to get under it.

well just changing it if the current engine is carbeurated u need a carbeurated v8 if it's fuel injected v6 u need a fuel injected v8 to match the bolt patterns on the transmissions right then u need to invest in a new rear end and motor mounts to handle the power increase as far as removing it I'm sure someone else on here can tell u the specifics better than i can
