1. Open drain plug at the bottom of the rad and drain the rad. 2. Remove the fan and its wire connectors. 3. Disconnect the upper and lower rad hoses. 4. If automatic transmission, disconnect transmission cooler lines with correct size FLARE wrench (very important to use a flare wrench, using a regular open wrench will twist the lines). 5. Remove the fan shield if there is one. 6. Remove the rad and shroud by lifting straight up. 7. Install new rad and transfer any fittings from the old one. 8. Connect lines and hoses and fan. 9. Refill rad run and test. If you lost some automatic transmission fluid from the lines, check your ATF level just in case.

if ur hearing knocking most likely ur rods are getting ready to bust loose as far as the heavy vibration goes could be anything from a loose drive shaft to a harmonic balancer take it to a mechanic indefinitly about the knocking or your gonna throw a rod through ur hood

Be careful disconnecting it. It' usually pretty dry rotted. When you take the old one out have the new one ready with teflon tape on it. You will loose a lot of coolant. Wear safety glasses because it will spill on you.

Id like to add something...DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE!... this switch is operated with a single ground wire and must be grounded to the block by its threads... I used a light coat of indianhead gasket sealant on 1/2 the threads and never had an issue. Also you can reach this from the top you will need a deep socket and possibly a small extension (13/16) I believe was the OEM size. I know because I did this twice because I used teflon the 1st time. if your looking to get your fan on earlier a company called Hypertech makes 195* fan switch, much cooler than the 235* stock. It would also need a 180* Stat you can get at a local autoparts store.

Yes, 89-92 305 TBI should all have fan switches, the fan switch is located between cylinders 8 and 6 on the passanger side head. There is also a temp sender located directly atop the manifold on the front of the engine and a fan switch relay on the pasanger side next the the firewall. If your fan runs with your heater or A/C on the problem is 9/10 your Fan switch between cylinders 8 and 6. If it does not work with the heater or A/C running id start with your fuse or your relay.

There is a fuel pump diagram for the 1992 Camaro RS. This diagram is often used to remove and rebuild a fuel pump for that vehicle. You can find this type of diagram in most Chilton's manuals for that year and type of car.?æ

Your fuel filter is probably clogged up. Fuel filters are inexpensive and you should replace it to see if your problem is solved.
