How do you change spark plugs on a 1994 Lexus ES 300?
I am a Ford Mechanic and I happen to own a 94 Lexus ES300, and your not going to like this....to get to the three plugs in the back you have to put a jack up the car, put jack stands under the front of the car, then you take the jack put a piece of wood on it so you dont damage the oil pan, raise the jack under the engine just enough to take the pressure off the engine mounts. Then you have to unbolt and remove the engine mounts, then lower the jack. now the engine will be low enough so you can access the rear plugs. RECOMENDATION...If I were you sence changing the plugs on this car is such a pain I would spend a few extra dollars and get the pre-gapped Bosch Platinum 4 prong spark plugs, they last the life of the vehicle and never have to be re-gapped. This way as painfull as changing them is, you will NEVER have to do it again.-Sean All you need it a Flexable adapter that can connects to your extention and you can add extentions and reach them from the top.. Still not easy but reachable. Regards.

I have run into this twice before,and it DOEShappen. There is not much you can do because there is no adjustment or way to shim this item. But look at the alignment of the belt on the pully and all pullys to be sure it's the alt. causing this squeal. You should return it to the store for replacement and dont let them tell you "it's the tensioner" or "the belt is worn out". I have replaced both of those and still no change. The pully is probably on too far. If they wont trade out with you, ask for your money back and a core alt. so you can go somewhere and get a good part, or, you can try to shim the pully by making a shim from some thin metal or grinding a washer to thin it down,but there is no guarantee that this will work or for how long. The parts store has you over a barrel and keep going back until they get it right. Good luck.....

Well.. first off, does it bark all the time or just when someone rings the door bell? Sorry, I can't resist a typo. I believe you must remove the slack from the cable. Near the rear of the car, the cable joins to form a "Y". This is where there should be a threaded adjustment point. If there isn't enough adjustment left, you may have to replace the cable do to corrosion, wear, or stretching.

sounds like you have a serious slippage problem... The fact that your not asking why doesn't my car go anywhere is nothing short of miraculous. a few things could cause this and you need to look at some other facts about the car to determine the cause.
1. worn out clutch plate- new clutch
2. glazed clutch- not the end of the world just gotta wear down the glazing...
3. clutch linkage... i.e. master cylinder, cable or hydraulics, or slave cylinder
again look at the external characteristics like how gentle have you been on the clutch, how many miles on the clutch, does the car react differently in different gears and most importantly look at the design of your drive train as all cars are different.
Sitting in the driver's seat, facing forward, the white coolant tank is on your right side inner fender wall. At the bottom front of the tank, there's a connector attached. This connector is for that coolant level indicator on the dash. Unplug it to see if this turns off the indicator, if so, consider replacing the sensor that you just unplugged or just leave it unplugged if you know for sure the tank is filled with coolant by regularly checking the level. This is the low level indicator for the coolant liquid. The coolant tank is white and is locate on the left of the engine compartment. Fill it to the hot line if the engine is hot or to the cold line if the engine is cold. just filling the tank doesnt always fix that light problem. Try tapping the overflow tank lightly with a hammer to get the air bubble out and trip the sensor that will work

YOU MUST FIRST RELEIVE THE FUEL PRESSURE. YOU CAN DO THIS BY SIMPLY REMOVING THE FUEL PUMP FUSE WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD. TRY AND START THE CAR AND LET IT STALL. IF IT DOESNT START THEN THATS FINE ASWELL. THE FUEL FILTER IS LOCATED BETWEEN THE FUEL TANK AND THE EVAP CANISTER.LOOSEN THE FLARE NUT FITTING ON THE INLET SIDE OF THE FILTER. REMOVE THE PLASTIC RETAINER FROM THE QUICK CONNECT FITTING ON THE OUTLET SIDE. TWIST THE QUICK CONNECT FITTING 1/4 TURN IN EACH DIRECTION TO LOOSEN SEAL. PUSH THE FUEL LINE INTO THE FILTER AND DEPRESS THE PLASTIC TABS THEN PULL LINE FROM FILTER. REMOVE FROM MOUNTING CLAMP AND YOU SHOULD HAVE IT. WHEN INSTALLING THE NEW FILTER MAKE SURE THE ARROW ON FILTER IS POINTING IN DIRECTION OF FUEL FLOW. HOPE THIS HELPS WHOEVER NEEDS IT.

I wouldn't think so. That would only thin the oil even further and possibly damage other parts. The only fix for a bad rod bearing is to check the crankshaft for damage as well as the rod and measure the diameter of the journal for out-of-round conditions. If you are lucky,you may just replace the worn bearing...but most are not that lucky and I wouldn't advise it. When a rod starts knocking, it's like hitting the crankshaft with a hammer and it will wear the sides of the rod cap/crank journal until it gets so much play, it breaks the rod,rod cap or piston..hence the saying "Sling a rod".

*Applies to all 3000GT's 1991 thru 1999. Good luck mounting a 6 1/2 inch speaker in the doors. In fact, good luck mounting a 6 3/4 inch in the doors. I will give you $50 cash if you mount speakers readily available from your typical audio store in the stock housing. Mitsubishi, in all of their wisdom, had Infinity make a 7 inch speaker that is like, the only speaker in the world that fits the 3000GT's and Dodge Stealth exclusively with the stock mounting plate. What is required to mount a universal speaker size(6.5" and 6.75") inside a 3000GT or Dodge Stealth, is custom fabrication, because they will not fit! Same with the dash tweeter. JBL used to make a replacement that fit, but discontinued that model. You will have to custom mount the dash tweeters inside the stock housing.

Only Kidding but if it's a 7inch speaker that you need instead of a 6.5 or 6.75 inch speaker you can look at marine speakers. The Alpine SPR-M70 is a 7 inch 2 way speaker. There are others as well but Just thought I would give you an example. But you are correct the area for the speaker is off, but you can get the common 6.5inch speakers in thee with out to much trouble.

first make sure that you have a fully charged battery. if you do and turn the ignition on and do not get even a clicking sound see if the starter is good it could also be the ignition switch.so check that and all your fuses. also make sure that all your ingnition wires are seeted properly.
I don't know if this will help, but I had to reset the anti-theft on my 2001 Jimmy today and this was the procedure: Try to start the engine, it will fire and die. Leave the key in the on position. Wait 10 minutes. The "Security" light will stay on during the 10 minute interval then turn off. Turn the key to the "off" position for 5 seconds. Repeat 3 times. (Yes. It takes 30 minutes and 15 seconds to reset the antitheft in a Jimmy.) 70.64.66.88 hit the nail on the head! I just replaced the ignition lock cylinder on my 1997 Grand Am SE and got the ANTI THEFT light. Following the above advice it only took one time before the system reset itself. Turned over engine, it died, left key in on position, anti theft light blinked for 10 minutes then went solid, turned key to off position, counted to 7 mississippi, restarted engine, it fired and ran and anti theft light gone.
