First depends Do you mean ignition as with a key or as most call key switch ignition,or do you mean the ignition swicth located on steering column. ==well== The key cylinder lock rotates in housing on column,unless of course yours is dash mounted which make things totally easier.Key cylinder is what the key goes into,when turned moves a rod that pushs ignition switch into play,then falls back into run .Both work with each other but when you just put ignition switch hard to judge which you are talking about.Have you gotten the new one yet,also are you replacing because you have lost the key.Those old key cylinders wore out rather easy,would suggest if have the time,to visit a junk yard or 2 see if you can find an old olds key that resembles your old one.But would help if I knew more of why your replacing,and where cylinder is located.

get a pair of pliers and grab the cable attached to the the hood popper and pull while pulling the hood lever it should pop open

In cases like this it is best to use an anolog meter instead of a digital meter,I say one of your switches is bad, rarely is it both switches,if the wiring has not been tampered with, the switch is breaking the contact to the light when the door is closed,when the door or doors are opened current or volts flows. sometimes a digital meter is to fast to detect the fault, current is leaking by one of the switches. disconnect the battery, or remove the bulbs until the problem is solved.

those are block casting numbers That block was used from 1969-1979. it was used in corvettes,camaro,trucks,nova,etc. the pad on the engine block(front edge,right head) will tell you production date ,engine size etc.

Try disconnected the battery for a few hours , then reconnect and start ~It should dissappear ~

FIRST VERIFY THAT THERE ARE REALLY SPEAKERS THERE, MINE JUST HAS GRILL AND NO SPEAKERS, I BELIEVE BOSE SYSTEM DOES NOT HAVE SPEAKERS THERE. IF YOU DID WANT TO GET TO THEM, YOU WOULD NEED TO REMOVE ALMOST THE WHOLE DASH TO GET TO THEM. MY GRILLS WERE NOT REMOVABLE FROM THE TOP. I HAVE REMOVED THE WHOLE DASH DOWN TO THAT POINT. DONT DO IT. IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TO REMOVE TO GET THERE.

That is correct. No dashboard speakers on Bose System.

On a 1987 corvette the relay is behind the info center display. There is also a fuse for the horn which is usually whats wrong its a 15 amp. if its blown i would replace this before the relay. You need to remove the center bezel, then remove the info center and you will find lots of stuff back there.

In my owners manual it states 15.7 gls. I don't think the fuel gauge is very accurate though. The one I have is a s-model with the 3.3ltr. at a little less than 3/4 on guage it takes 7-8 gallons to fill.This was my mother's car and I just got it last week.She didn't drive it a lot in the last 4 years,5,000 miles. It now has 72,000 on it.

it is possible,depending on how long you ran it flat ,or how much damage you did to it running it flat
just plug it and see if it fixes it

Check the fuse, it is in the lower drivers side beside the headlight. It is a fuse that blows easily when you leave the hood up for a period of time. When working on the vehicle it is best to pull the fuse, so it will not heat up and blow.

A high performance engine will run better in the cold the vehicle is at full operating temperature. Cold air is more dense so basically its like your packing in more air into the cylinder.
