How do you fix O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 2 on a 96 Chevy corsica?
If you have an oxygen sensor problem then there should be a check engine light "on." Have a repair shop scan and diagnosis the problem. You may not truly have a problem with the oxygen sensor as it could be a vacuum leak that makes the o2 sensor set a code.
In a 1991 Geo Prizm what is the difference between a VIN code 5 engine and a VIN code 6 engine?
The engine VIN code 5 or VIN code 6 is the 8th character of the VIN stamped on the engine or on plate at bottom of drivers-side windshield. Both were OE with platinum-electrode plugs. The ignition and distributor are different between the two engines because the cylinder heads are different. There is the belief that the DOHC distributor can only be ordered from a dealer since the cables are integral to the cap, however this is not true. A replacement model with integral wires is available in the aftermarket.
Applicable to build dates Nov 1989 to end of 1992 production:
Vin 5 indicates the (legendary) Toyota 4A-GE DOHC, 16-valve, MPFI engine. Cylinder head designed by Yamaha. Engine oil cooler mounted behind bumper, in front of A/C condenser. Under hood emissions label or RPO LWO printed on the option sticker identifies this also. Service Manual Supplement specific to the GSi is ST373-yySUPP, where "yy" is the numeric model year.
Vin 6 indicates the Toyota 4A-FE found in Prizm Base and LSi models.

Can you put a 350 corvette engine in a 2005 Chevy impala?
Chevy already put the 5.3 Liter V8 in the Impala in 2006. It makes 303 H.P. Putting a 5.7 could be done, but the expense would be great. I would just look for a factory V8.
First off make sure you are correct on the motor not working. Most times if the window does not move the motor is the problem.Ocassionaly a window switch will wear out. Motor removal.Go to the parts store and ask for a door panel pry bar. Most panels are fastened to the door with plastic inserts along the bottom, and a couple on each end going up the panel. (ask for some new door panel inserts at the parts store as some will need to be replaced). There should be 2 retaining screws in the inner most part of the door arm rest forward and back. Possibly one in between the door arm rest and panel. With the door panel free of any resistance (you will have the wires connected between the window motor and switch still) Graps the bottom of the door panel with one hand ,pull bottom of door panel away from door. You might feel resistance at this position. With the other hand bump bottom of door panel upward.May take a few bumps to free the clips at the top of door panel and you will probably need to wiggle the door panel somewhat to totally free it from the door. Now you should have access to the motor for the window. If the window is in the down position and you cannot access the motor, look for a metal "arm" that connects to the window from the motor area. Remove this clip, free the arm and move the window up to the closed postioin and secure it in place. By looking at the new motor you have, you will see what screws to remove to release the old motor and remove. Installing is in exact reverse order.Make sure you reatach the "arm" to the window.Take your time and if you run into a snag,Call the parts store and a person there should be able to walk you through the snag.Good luck!!

Why would the check engine light come on in a 2000 Chevy Impala?
Hundreds of things could cause the check engine light to come on as with any car. To determine what the problem is you must use an OBD II code scanner. Autozone or some other diy parts stores will do this for you for free.
AnswerAlways check the Gas cap to make sure it on tight. A loose gas cap can cause this to happen. AnswerIt's either a faulty catayltic (sp) converter (We have a 2001 Impala and have had to have a new one installed twice), a faulty oxygen sensor or the gas cap (either not screwed on just right or, being 7 years old, the gas cap is not sealing correctly and you need a new cap. Good luck. AnswerOn my 2000 Impala, the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve has required replacement about every two years. This causes the check engine light to come on. A sure way to determine if the EGR is at fault is to drive from a cold start, go for 10-15 minutes at 50MPH, and then coast to a stop. If the check engine light comes on during decelleration, the EGR is faulty - this is a GM test protocol for this vehicle. The EGR's function is to recirculate exhaust gases back into the engine for reburning, and if it is not working properly it can lead to poor fuel economy or failing emissions tests.Answer
here is a really common problem and fix. start your car andOpen up your hood and take some carb cleaner and spray it on all the rubber hoses you see in your hood. Carb cleaner evaporates so dont worry about messing anything up, and if you here your engine idle up then you have a vacuum leak and this is a very common problem.

How do you change the speedometer on a 2005 Chevy Impala?
If your problem is "speed shown is greater than actual speed" , if you wait awhile after you park it, the speed shown will decrease 5MPH every time you turn the key to accessory, and back off, LOL
Might work properly for weeks, days, hours, minutes after that.
Good luck, this should be a recall issue, class action suit soon. This is a common problem with all the GM vehicles from 2000 to 2006 I had the same problem in my 2005 Impala the speedometer went haywire at 89K miles. I found a website where I had it fixed for $120 dollars. here is the website in case you want to check it out.

How to install sub woofers and amplifier in 2001 impala?
Run an amp wire through the firewall, under the carpet into the trunk, run a remote turn-on wire from the head unit to the trunk, and run your RCA's from the head unit to the trunk. Make sure you have an in-line fuse big enough no more than 12" from the battery on the power wire. Find a good ground in the trunk, or drill a hole and ground it under the car somewhere. Hook everything up, and keep the volume down until the sub(s) are broken in. Then feel free to bump!

Where is the turn signal flasher in a 1991 Mazda Protege?
It is underneath your dash (although u do not need to disassemble the anything to get to this part). It is towards the back and is mounted along the other relays for the vehicle. It is rectangular, silver towards the back right. The best way to find out is to turn on your hazard and you will hear the clicking sound, you can actually "feel" the clicking if you hold the different relays. The relay that generates the most clicking vibration is probably your flasher.
How does one change the brake lights on a 1985 Chevy Impala?
open trunk & you'll notice about 6-8 torx screws. on the top of the light section. remove these screws, and tilt the housing towards you. then you should see 3 electrical conections. some have locks like a "medicine bottle top". twist & pull out connection. the bulb should be there. there is 2 stop & tail light bulbs, and 1 park light bulb, and the reverse light too. now is a good time to check them all since you are there. some tail lights are square and some are long, but the same procedure applies. ( some have hold downs for the light section added in the trunk to hold assembely also.) to remove these fastners it is necessary to pull back carpet by the trunk lock, and you will see them. if it dosent come out the first way you must remove these as well. reverse to install. hope this helps.
