There are valve seals on each valve in an internal combustion engine. How many depends on the type of engine and size. Removing valve seals is not for someone who in not very mechanically inclined. Get yourself a Haynes Service Manual for your car (Autozone,NAPA) ~$25. The complete procedure is in that book.

It's built into the computer and you have to buy a high performance program from the aftermarket and reprogram the computer to override it.

It would send a trouble code and your check engine light would come on. However your catalytic converter could have slowly clogged-up and not give a trouble light as the computer would compensate with the fuel curve. If this is the case, you may experience a random flash of the check engine light(indicating a missfire). If you have onstar call them imediately when this happens to run a diagnostic. Mine went bad and exhibited this behavior. It was covered under warranty, because it was emissions related. Sometimes the FEDS are good.

yes this code requires the tranny man . The explanation is this:

there is a speed sensor buried inside the tranny called input/turbine speed sensor that sends speed signals to the computer.Over a period of time metal shavings build up to the magnetic head and eventually clog the sensor up so bad it cannot send out accurate readings causing a pending po715 code.(are still with me so far). then this continues until the same metal shavings start clogging up other magnetic solenoids,like the torque converter clutch solenoid,until it starts sticking sending a po743 code.Sooooo, to fix this problem $1200.00 to $1800.00 is not an uncommon price to rebuild the tranny.Not what you wanted to read but that's what happens.

remember years ago when transmission shops would say change tranny oil and filer every 15,000 miles.This is never so much MORE true today with the introduction of digital components inside the tranny and magnetic sensors /solenoids.hope this explanation helps.

If you just want to add a little you can use the overflow tank to do it or if the radiator isn't full just take the radiator cap off and pour it in.

on the 3.1, it is under power steering pump. remove pump set aside ,do not remove hoses.once removed sensor is reachable!! there should be one bolt to hold sensor in!!

Through year model 2005

1. Insert the key into the ignition.

2. Turn the key to the ON position. (do not start the engine)

3. Using the factory radio, press and hold DISP until SETTINGS is displayed on the screen.

4. Press SEEK until FOB PROG is displayed on the screen.

5. Press the NEXT button, BEGIN will be displayed on the screen.

6. Press DISP, hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the fob to be programmed (may take up to 15 secs), a chime will be heard to confirm successful programming.

7. Scroll until EXIT is displayed on the screen, press DISP to exit program mode.

Under the dash on the drivers side next to the fuse block. There are two: one for hazard flashers and one for turn signals. They are 1" x 1" square... most likely silver in color.

I think you mean a 3.8 as GM doesn't make a 3.9, you need 5 qts. of oil with a new filter.

There is the pan capacity and the system capacity. These are two different amounts. Your owner's manual will list these.

more than likely a blown intake gasket or head gasket, check your oil to see if it looks milky colored.
