How do you change the inside door handle on a 2002 tracker?
First remove the screw. Then slide the door handle back about 1/4 inch. Then gently pull the handle out about 1/2 inch. You will need a screwdriver to push the plastic clip off the metal rod that opens the door. Lift up handle and remove from rod.
G'day, Best advice would be to either buy the auto repair manual for your car (make and model) or go to an automotive car dealer that deals with car parts and look up in the book on how to replace the belt. WARNING: Be sure the book is NOT wrapped (if you tear the wrapping off; you are liable to pay for the goods). Have a read through the section of drive belt/timing belt and go from there... Be sure you UNDERSTAND well before proceeding or you may not have a car to drive and to add to the matter, worse still expenses to fix what you were attempting to fix in the first place. If a new model; there maybe an automatic drive/timing belt tesioner (see belt diagram under bonet of your car). Either use a correct sprocket for the nut (located in the centre of the pulley). This acts as a level (make sure the direction of push or pull is not the same way as the nut to undo it). By pushing down or vice versa (be sure you have a firm grip or you'll slip and injure yourself), it will release the tension on the belt thus you can remove the belt. Or have a crowbar to lever the tension away but be gentle; NO forcing on other components or you'll end up paying more to fix!! It should move with little force (inwards, towards engine, away from the belt) , if not then it is the wrong way. There maybe a cover that has to be removed first to expose the drive/timing belt for easy access. If an old model, you may need to undo a bolt to release the Altanator but do not take the whole thing off, only enough for the belt to slide loose from the alternator. Be weary, getting the right tesnion after replacement of the belt maybe difficult (if it squeaks when reving then the belt is still loose). BE SURE THAT THE BELT IS ON PROPERLY AND IN ITS PROPER GROVES. CHECK AND RECHECK. WHEN TURNING THE MOTOR OVER, STAND WELL CLEAR. SHOULD THE BELT SNAP YOU'RE NOT IN THE WAY OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER. Cheers... :)
Sometimes the latch on mine sticks on the drivers side, i usually push the seat back with my other hand to relieve the pressure on the latch. I then pull up on the handle and the latch will release all the way and allow the seat to come forward.

there are 2 sensors on Inline 4 cylinders motors
the front sensor is the air fuel mixing sensors.

How do you slim Jim open a door on a 2003 Chevy silverado?
There is no way I can see to use a slim Jim on this truck as the rods for the lock and handle run vertical. The only way I found to get in was to destroy the handle and bezel, then use pliers to move the rods. Seems extreme but the handle bezel assembly was $35 and a locksmith twice that. Moreover there was the $100 of frozen food on the back seat and things had to move right along. Gary Boston Va
How difficult is it to replace a door handle on a 2000 Chevy Tracker?
Changing the door handle isn't very difficult. Which is good considering the cheap plastic they made them out of. The standard procedure pretty much applies; 1) Remove the interior door trim panel 2) Disconnect the linkage attached do the door handle 3)Change the door handle 4)Re-assemble I don't remember the details of what scews / bolts have to be removed, but the whole job is pretty simple. The only variation is for whether it is an inside or outside handle, and really that only changes the linkage that you remove. I have changed both an inside and outside handle, on opposite doors of course... Didnt take me long at all.
What is the firing order for a 1995 Chevy Blazer v6?
chevy numbers pistons 1 - 3 - 5 on left side bank, and 2 - 4 - 6 on right bank.. the Right is as u sit in the drivers seat! so as u face the vehicle from the front of it, the right will be on Your left.. looking at the motor, determine which cylinder head is a bit closer to the front of the engine. that wil be the 1 - 3 - 5 bank. if your engin sits sideways rather than front back, the front of the engine will have the belts on it and the rear of the engine will be bolted to the transaxle. Look on the Intake Manifold for the firing order. yours is most likely 1-6-5-4-3-2 if ait has coil blocks rather thandistributor, the packs go 1-5-3 and 4-2-6 1-6-5-4-3-2 cylinders 1-3-5 on driver side front to back, 2-4-6 on passenger side front to back. distributor rotates clockwise
Where is the fuse box on a Chevy Tracker?
The fuse box is located on the driver's side where the dimmer switch control is. There is a brown fuse box cap that has to be removed and you will see the fuses. There are also some bigger fuses under the hood on the left when you open the hood.
On the 1999 I have there is also a fuse panel under the hood. It is on the right side, just over the fender well. The AC clutch fuse is in a single small square holder to the rear and right of this other fuse panel, (about 6 to 8 inches away). The larger panel will have all the high amp fuses.
How do you use 4 wheel drive in a 2003 Chevy Tracker?
To use four wheel drive on the 2003 tracker, there is a shifter just below the manual or automatic transmission selector in the centre console. When the shifter is all the way towards the rear seats, it is in rear (two) wheel drive. Shift it up towards the dash and it will automatically go into four wheel drive high range, which means you can drive at the same speeds as in two wheel drive. You won't have to lock the hubs as they are automatically locking, and you can shift into 4wd at any speed under 60 mph as long as the whels are facing straight ahead and the shift will be immediate and unnoticed. If you are stopped, you can shift with the wheels facing anyway you like, but there will be a bit of a delay before the 4wd engages and if you are on a hill you may feel a clunk. You will see the 4wd indicator which is just above the speedometer flash once also. Try to start slowly and you won't get the clunk, but still the delay (which is about a second or so). If you are really off-road, try using the 4wd low range, by shifting the lever to the left and all the way toward the dash. This lowers the gear ratio for low crawling and is very effective for mud, deep snow, hills and other off-road obstacles. You have to be at a complete stop however to shift to 4wd low range. There won't be any delay or clunk if you are stopped. The tracker has a very good off-road ability with either low or high range and I've left jeeps and toyotas and full size trucks eating my dust off-road, due to this ability and the fact that the tracker is very light weight. You can use a one tonne come-along to help extract yourself from sticky situations if you can't afford a winch (like me). If ou are going over obstacles like rocks, or logs, always try to ride the wheels over the obstacle. The tracker has a ladder frame which is tough and most of the crucial mechanicals are tucked inside the frame, but you stand the chance of damaging the exhaust, differentials, etc. it you try to drive over the obstacle instead of letting the tires to it for you. Above all, have fun and tread lightly. Hope this helps!
What type of clutch fluid for a Chevy Tracker should you use?
All you need is BRAKE FLUID, DOT 3 fluid.
Oddly enough just went through the same issue and was easily getting nervous. Lower intake manifold, oil pan gasket both $600 repair. As it turns out this wasn't the case at all. It turn out to be the power steering low pressure line. The impala behind the passenger tire (out of view) has a plastic shield to help prevent snow, dirt and other road debris getting on the pulley area's (good idea) however this plate rubs against the line and over time (a pin hole) the power steering fluid looks a lot like oil (especially clean oil). Check your power steering fluid first if it is not your power steering fluid then it could be a loose bolt on the oil pan area but if that is not it then most likely lower gasket. There maybe a recall on this issue so check https://my.gm.com/web/portal/recalls
This link requires you to enter you vin but it will help provide information to what recalls are registered. It not definitive but its a start or call your local dealer about possible service bulletins.

Where can you find the wiring diagrams for a 1999 Chevy Tracker?
I purchased the Haynes DIY repair manual for the chev tracker/suzuki vitara and there are quite a few wiring diagrams in it. Hopefully the one you need will be in there. I haven't really looked to see how comprehensive they are, but I believe they are complete. You can probably get this manual at a parts store or even at Wal-Mart or a hardware store. Being Canadian, I purchased mine at Canadian Tire basicall because it was the closest. Hope this helps!
