What does error code P0302 for the check engine light mean?

P0302 means number two cylinder has a misfire, due to possibly a spark plug, spark plug wire, ignition coil, fuel injector or something mechanical in the engine like a bad valve, valve spring or piston ring etc. For future reference OBD II codes are listed at DenLorsTools.com Tech articles under OBD II codes and scan tools.

== == P0302 is a Cylinder Number 2 Misfire. Start at the front of the engine, where all the accessories are mounted(alternator, power steering pump, etc) then count each each spark plug from left to right in normal order. The cylinder to the left will be 1, and the cylinder to the far right will be 4. When you locate number 2 cylinder, check the plug wire for damage. remove the spark plug and inspect it for wear. A new set of spark plugs and wires will probably fix your problem. Otherwise it may me a coil pack or ignition module. Hope this helps. It means the for some reason cylinder #2 isn't firing properly. That is usually a spark plug, plug wire, or ignition coil issue. But at times, I have found that an internal problem in the cylinder, like a valve sticking. I have also had a fuel injector cause this. Commonly too, on engines with individual EGR ports, one to each cylinder, I have had restricted EGR ports do this, in a situation where all but one was restricted. I would start with the easiest and most common fix, plugs and wires, and go from there.

If the windows somtimes works and sometimes not, tere is a very simple way to fix it, and not havng to repace the motor.

dissasemble the interior part of the door. you will require a Phillips screwdriver

First unscrew the three screws in te lover part of the door.

remove the screw that is in the armrest

remove the two screws that face the dashboard.

stick out gently with a regular screwdriver the metallic speaker cover. try opening if from the upper angle, it should slide softly out.

remove the three screws that surround the speaker. they are a bit hidden arround the speaker- DO NOT UNSCREW THE SPEAKER look for the screws arround it

Check carefuly to ensure all screws are out.

now you need to gently pull up all the inside cover of the door out. work your way arround the tweeter over the door.

then liberate the lock button free from the inside panel once is detached.

look for the little latch that fastens the interior door knob, twist it and liberate it.

Do not try to liberate the wiring. it's too much work.

gently pull the black rubber seal to uncover the window mechanism. be careful with the black stuff thet glues the seal, is sticky! try to touch it the least possible.

(optional) get someone to help you grab the loose inside of the door to work more cmfortably and to avoid damage to the interior.

look at the mechanism.

You will see the motor attached to some mechanisms attached to a laminated base holded by four bolts. from that base, you will see a little beam made of the same material that leaves from that base to the body of the door.

finishing this beam, you will see an adjustment bold just like the four that hold the base. loose the bolt a bit in order to move the adjustments by hand

with the car key on the on position, try lowering and rising the window while moving the adjustment. you will no8usualy lowering the beam that the motor comes to life again flawlessly once you reach proper adjustment.

clean and oil as needed.

reassemble.

Enjoy your working windows.
