How do you remove contigous files?
I'm not sure I understand why you're asking this question. Contiguous files are simply files that are not broken up in pieces. As you disk fills up, when you delete files to make more room, the free space is scattered all over the disk. If you download a large file, or install software, there may not be enough room in any single place on the disk to fit the entire file. Windows puts chunks of the file in several places to make it fit. This can slow down the time it takes to load the file. When you defrag the disk, it attempts to make as many files contiguous as possible. Deleting contiguous files should be exactly the same procedure as with any other file. However, some files that the system uses must be contiguous. They can't be deleted because they are in use by the system. If you have any questions, please email me or check out my profile.
What was the first non-server processor to have a L3 cache?
Some RISC server CPU designs have had L3 for many years. The first consumer CPU that could use an L3 was the AMD K6-III, in 1999. However, it didn't have an L3 cache on the die, but used the motherboard-based L2 cache present on almost all Super Socket 7 motherboards as an L3. It did have on-die L2, and was designed so that it could use the external cache as L3. The first consumer CPU to have on-die L3 was the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition, a rebranded Xeon introduced late in 2003 to counter AMD's new Athlon 64. Xeons, which are server CPU's, have had L3 since 2001.

What is the difference between soft key and normal key?

The keys function is only to produce that letter or number. A soft key is keys on a keyboard or cell phone will preform multiple functions. Like the function keys or 'F-Keys'. These keys can be programmed to do more than one task at a time. Or on a cell phone you can hit the number 3 and a 3 will show on the screen or if you hold the 3 key for a moment it will call a programmed phone number.
Can a motherboard accept 2 different RAM speed?
Yes, you can use different speed DDR2 RAM, but the faster one will be clocked down to the speed of the slowest one, so your not taking any advantage from the faster speed of one of those...however, this mix can probably cause instability (not in all cases), so if you can, get the RAM at the same speed :)
How far can a 2.4ghz router reach?
It depends on the antenna you are using. Without going into great detail about propagation, interference, and other factors to get the most range out any frequency you need a good antenna. The antenna of choice would be a directional antenna with a narrow beam-width. These using come in the form of a grid or parabolic dish. These particular types of antennas do a good job of focusing the radiated energy for the maximum distance or range. In a point to point setup with clear line of site, low interference, and clear Fresnel zone one could reach over 30+ miles.
When do you need a USB wireless adapter?
Wireless adapters (USB or not) are good for connecting to wireless networks (aka WLAN or WiFi).
What are the important types of input devices and what are their uses?

What are the different types of random access memory?
the two main types of RAM are: SRAM- static random access memory which is faster but more expensive it also takes up valuable space. It tends to be used for cache memory and it doesnt have to be periocically refreshed. DRAM- dynamic random access memory, the most common type of RAM, an advantage of DRAM is its structural simplicity.

Hardware: Physical and Software: Digital
I don't know how it works.
describe how it works
Creating any circuit will result in a flow of current, however, if the load is an inductive load, like a transformer, motor, etc., then a higher current will flow initially as the magnetic field around the windings must be created before any useful work can make use of said magnetic effect. This can be significant. A general rule of thumb for start up current is about 5 times operating current. Therefore, cables, fuses, etc, in fact the whole circuit needs to be designed to handle this higher level even though it may occur for a relatively short period.
How do you connect two desktops to one DSL modem?
