the daewoo leganza sx has a 2.2ltr

I read in another forum that it might be the brakelight switch that is making the shift lock, lock up.

check your brake light ...then replace the stop/horn fuse

open the hood look at the drivers side it is bolted to the break booster looks like a pound cake pan and the plastic clear bottle with the black cap is you resovoier

I have done mine twice. First get the reservoir and air filter out of your way. Then get a ratchet on the pulley that is just a tensioner - by turning the bolt you create slack in the belt. I hadn't worked on cars in years - the alternator seemed simple enough - but one thing to note is that you do not have to pull out the bottom bolt to remove it - you can't anyway. There are two bolts behind it that hold a casting for the bottom bolt.

While I have not done it yet, it would appear that the bottom seat cushion needs to be pulled up and then slid forward.

If someone has done it, please confirm or correct.

There may be a few reasons for this. Sometimes there are frequencies in the area that interfere with the frequency the remote starter uses to send a signal to the vehicle. It is also possible that the transmitter in the remote, or the receiver in the car have a fault. If the remote does not function until 10 cm away no matter your location, try replacing the remote. That is the cheapest way to troubleshoot.

take off the valve cover put on new gasket then put cover back on you if you cant figure it out you should be hit in the head with a tact hammer.

Look for about 4 screws around the edge of the door, ( I think 2 are on the front edge and 2 are on the back edge) then get a screwdriver and remove the screws holding the inside handle. If you have Power window console, pry it out of door starting at the front edge. Using a wide, flat screwdriver or the special interior clip removal tool to pry the retaining clips from the mid to lower section of the door panel on the front and back edge. LOOK FOR extra screws as you go, if you pry on the panel and it is still attached by screws it could damage or crack the door panel. If you need to go deeper into the door there are 4 screws remove the speaker next. As you remove electronics,from the door you will naturally have to separate the wiring harness to remove the part from the door. Ray

I think the companypolicy having some lop holes while sailing the cars to other country is not clear. This is time to transfer technology instead of sailing only the car, time is running very fast and people are taking decision quickly therefor before sailing car must market the asseccories at the same time so the purchaser should not fase any problem.

Leganzas do not have transmission filter. Check it out on any auto parts filter application catalog.

Hope this will help it happend to me. It was my cam sensor and the dealer fixed it for free.

Remove dash,centre console,heater box and you'll find it in there

If this is a single overhead cam, possibly A15SMS (engine type):

If you have everything stripped down and can see the crank shaft gear, you will notice an arrow stamped into one of the gear teeth.

this arrow must point towards the bottom, you will notice a mark (notch) cut into the housing, line the arrow on the gear with this notch. remove the four 10mm bolts that secure the top cover of the timing belt, gently open the cover (not removing it) to see the Cam Gear. You will not be able to remove the cover because of the design.

The Cam Gear should have a line stamped into one of its teeth, this should be pointing up and towards the top. On the inner cover you will notice a notch in the casing, line both up together if it is not already. You can check the following if unsure:

Remove # 1 spark plug (nearest the Cam Belt) and place a long screwdriver in the hole carefully to feel the piston is at the top, #2 and 3 will be down and the last one #4 at the distributor end will also be up. Remove the rocker cover and you should see the Cam loabes on #1 piston free, (no pressure on the cam shaft) meaning the valves are closed.

it is under the hood in a black box open blac box and look under cap and it says fuel pump relay and pull it then change it out and back to where it came

you are low in r 134a freon ,connect hose from can of 134a with sealant to stop minor leak ,2 cans would be fine compressor will start blowing cold air ,andit will seal minor leaks.

Timing is controlled by the computer, adjustment is not possible.

it goes under the brake pedal, it should twist out , it has two tabs on it , only about a half turn
