P1780 Push - Pull Sensor Mal, could you please explain what the push - pull sensor is please?

Not sure when you wrote this but since there are no answers, I will answer this. The problem is most likely has a broken cable which comes out of the window motor and attaches to the rail the glass sits in or a broken pulley wheel. As the motor winds uo, the cable reels in and raises the window. If the cable breaks or comes out of the pulley wheel, it will let the glass fall. I am in the middle of changing one out right now. Seems to be a pretty easy fix if you can find parts. I think if I did another one, I could do it in about 30 minutes or less now that I know how everything comes apart. Good Luck... Ray

If the 02 sensors are so tight ,the only way to remove them is by heating the bottom most part of the sensor gently and working back and forth. It may be easier to cut the sensor wires and get a good socket wrench on it. Don't worry if the thread strips as you can re-thread the insert. I take it the sensor is unservicable and that is the reason for replacement.

you can`t adjust the idle speed manualy,it has to be done through the ecu via a main dealer diagnostic computer.

25nm then 3 lots of 90 degrees,10 head bolts,starting in the middle tighten in turn, middle bolt on exhaust side,bolt opposite on intake side,bolt on immediate right intake side bolt opposite on ex side,then Bolton immediate left of the first bolt tightened then bolt opposite on intake side,and so on so as you work outwards in a crcular motion,tighten all 10 to 25nm first and then 90 degrees in turn 3 times.

may just be a fuse. I had this happen to me in my 2000 leganza. It was in the fuse bux under the hood. On the inside of the cover look for the fuse labeled DIS. It's a 10 or 20 amp that controls the ignition pack. It has blown twice on me so if that's it buy extra fuses to keep in the car.

This worked for me: open the car with the door key. Sit in and shut the door. Now operate the door lock using the lock tab on the drivers door four times very quickly ((lock then open four times). Press the close button on the fob. If the door locks again, you've done it. May well work for other cars too.

Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts 71 inch-lbs Camshaft Sprocket bolts step 1 36 step 2 60 degrees step 3 15 degrees Cylinder head bolts: 4 steps step 1 18 step 2 90 degrees step 3 90 degrees step 4 90 degrees Valuve cover bolts 83 inch lbs Please note inch pounds is used in a couple of these and that they require an inch pound torque wrench.

Drive 2 min at 35 mph -stop and idle car 1 min -drive at 45 mph for 10 min, keeping rpms between 2000-2400 -deccelerate to 35 mph. selecting second gear, accelerate engine to 4000 rpm, and lift off throttle for 10 sec -repeat last step four more times -drive at 55 mph until 16 min have passed since starting drive trace. If time since start exceeds 20 min, evaporative monitor will not run. -Stop and idle car 4 mintip in throttle every min to change idle state. There is a universal drive cycle that requires checking car repeatedly with obd II readiness tool, so you may want to leave that to your mechanic.

Really need more info (engine size, model, type, etc..) A 1.6L DOHC, should be located about 9'o-clock if looking at the Crankshaft pulley through the right side wheel well. Just FYI the camshaft sensor is located under the timing belt cover between the two camshafts (1.6L DOHC) but behind the exhaust cam gear (gear towards front of car).

They are under the cover on top of the engine it just has two bolts holding it.

The oil pump is located behind the harmonic balancer, it has the oil filter attached to it and it is quite a major job to remove.

is actually quite simple. first. 1. open boot. 2. you will see 2 black screws. take these out. 3. push the light to the side slightly to gain a grip then pull straight out. 4. twist the connector and out comes the bulb and attachments. 5. the bulb twists out. replace offending bulb and put it all back together the same way it came out.
