The answer is: It depends. It depends on how disabled you have become, due to arthritis. You will have to have medical documentation to prove that you have become so disabled that you cannot work any longer. There is a long process of written documentation and face-to-face interview w/Social Security to go through and an even longer wait time to determine if you've been found eligible for benefits. BUT, it is worth the effort if you have a legitimate disability; and even if you are denied benefits the first time, do challenge their findings. For many people, they are automatically denied in the first round - it's a given for many many people. So immediately challenge and argue your case. the way i see it the role of friendship in caring for the mentally disabled i would say with my own personal experiences the role of friendship is being there for the special needs when they need help being patient when they are having trouble telling them that they can do it on whatever they are trying to do and just being a friend! special needs need help and need a friend and people should be there to help them support them and love them
