Not sure if this will help, but in the 2006 VUE manual, page 2-9, it indicates that automatic locking CANNOT be disabled, but the user can disable the automatic unlocking that occurs when the ignition is turned off. To toggle between enabled and disabled automatic UNLOCKing in the 2006 VUE,
1) Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to "RUN".
2) Press and hold the unlock button on the remote key fob for 8 seconds.
