How do you replace the water pump on a 1993 Buick LeSabre?

You need to take off the mortor mount on the the side that the water pump is on. There are two bolts on the top of the mount and two on the side of the mount be care taking them off so you don't break the bolts use a lot lubication. Put a jack under the oil pan with some kind of board on the jack for support. Kack up the engine for easier access to the water pump. Then take off the bolts holding the pump on clean off the old gasket.

AnswerI just did mine on a 92. I could not get the mount out because there is not enough room to slide it off the stud from the block. After cursing all American cars and their engineers, I noticed I could swing it to the right to get the pump bolts out. So, although you have to remove almost all the mount bolts, if you still can't slide it out, try sliding it to the right. I also jacked up the front of the motor until the power steering punp tank touched the cross member bar. Really not that bad - about 3 hours.

2005 dodge durango starts up but will not stay running?

I,m having the same problem with my 2005 dodge durango. Will start up but dies immediatly or sometimes won't start at all.Thought it was the fuel pump replaced and still the same thing. Was messing around in the fuse box under the hood and it started.I believe I've narrowed it down to the bcm-body control module mounted on the front of the fuse box.Sometimes it won't start and I can hit the bcm and it will start right up.

How do you pull out the spare tire dodge caravan?

Inside the rear of the car, behind the seats and, when you open the lift door, under the carpet there is a plastic nut kinda of, it is a cover for the nut ratchet which lowers and raises the spare tire under the rear body. The car jack has a socket which fits it. Now if this is your first time lowering it I suggest you do this on a flat surface and with a nice pry bar. I did it on the road with a hiking stick. Uhgs...The tire tends to become frozen if not operated occasionally. Once free of the area it sits in, lower it to the ground with enough slack to squeeze the cable stop through the hole in the tire hub.

Hope this helped a little...

What are the torque specs for the stabilizer bar links on a 1999 Expedition?

Front link nuts are listed at 15-21 lbs on 2wd, and 16-21 on 4wd. 63 to 84 on the rear, unless your not putting a Ford bar back on, like say your switching to a Hellwig, then they have their own specs. If you haven't purched one yet, the Haynes manual lists all specs on this and almost everything else, I think I paid 17.00 for it, and it's worth it.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1998 Buick?

First, be prepared to spend more time than you expect!! You will need both inch size and metric wrenches, along with a 1/2" box wrench. On the 3.8 L engine, the engine mounting bracket may have to be loosened to allow you to pull the pulley out off the front of the pump. First, remove the battery, and set to one side. Next, loosen the 4 screws on the front of the water pump pulley. Next, you need to use a socket wrench with a long handle and untension the idler pulley from the belt, so you can remove the serpentine belt from the front of the motor. After removing the belt, you will use a deep socket and unscrew the two bolts which hold the power steering pump in place. You access the top and bottom bolts through the holes in the pulley. After removing the power steering pump, you should take the pulley off the front of the water pump, and you may find it is a very tight fit. between the motor bracket and the font of the motor. After removing the pulley, you will have access to all the screws on the pump, and can use a socket wrench on all but the top front one under the engine bracket, for which you need the 1/2" box wrench. It is a much longer job than you would expect, so allow plenty of time! Dudley Bogart
