How do you change the spark plugs on a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage 1.8 liter?

1)With hood raised properly you should always disconnect the battery, but it isn't absolutely nec.

2)Remove the 2 bolts that hold the ignition coil down above the spark plugs on top of the cylinder head. Note (there are 2 coils and 2 plug wires) ((Tools you will need: 10mm socket, 3" extension (1/4" drive), 1/4" ratchet)

3)Once the bolts are removed, disconnect the wiring connectors (not the spark plug wires) from the coils.

4) Twist the 2 spark plug wires and 2 coils slightly about 1/4" turn to keep them from sticking while you try to remove them.

5) Pull gently, at first, upwards to remove (ONE AT A TIME) the 2 spark plug wires and 2 coils from the cylinder head. Note:(they may stick so you may have to pull slightly harder to remove them than your original effort) (Repeat this step for each of the 4 cylinders)

6) Once the spark plug wire or coil with boot is removed you need to remove the plugs. Insert the ratchet, extension, and socket assembly down into the cylinder head until the socket fits snugly unto the spark plug. Turn counter-clockwise unti lthe plug loosens. Once the plug is entirely loose remove it from the cylinder head. ((Tools you will need: 5/8" spark plug socket w/boot, 10" extension (3/8" drive), 3/8" ratchet)

7) Remove old plug from the spark plug socket and replace with the new plug.

8) Reverse and repeat the steps to reinstall each plug. Of course make sure you torque the plugs to spec and gap your plugs!!!

How do you replace the water pump on a 1995 Mercury Tracer 1.9L AC automatic transmission front wheel drive?

This is a job that can be messed up so I suggest you get a manual on your car from the parts store or from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM.

I may have missed it, but I couldn't find anything that new on autobooksonline.com. Most of the material I saw was for really old cars.

Where is the transfer case control module located for a 2001 suburban?

It is hidden behind the instrument panel and right beside the top left vent in the dash on the drivers side. I'm not talking about the vents on the very top of the dash where the windshield is. You will have to POP the plastic instrument cover / dash off. It just snaps in place.

How do you replace a thermostat for a 2000 Dodge Durango?

The thermostat is located (facing the front of vehicle) under the left end of the main upper radiator hose. Disconnect hose from flange by squeezing hose clamp until free. Two bolts hold the flange down and they are NOT the same length. Keep track of which length comes out of which hole. Lift the flange and remove by 1/2 turn to the left (note the single tab on the flange...remember which direction it faces. The thermostat is now full exposed and may be lifted out. Before you do, make sure you not only have a new thermostat but also a new gasket. Scrape old gasket away, apply new gasket, then re-place thermostat, flange and hose. Be gentle with the hose as it has a plastic piece in the middle (holds the fill cap) and I have seen them easily broken.
