How do you convert power windows to manual windows?

go to a "boneyard" (junk yard) ask for the manual window hardware for the same make, year, and model of car, including the "armrest" window control replacement... then "rip out" the old electric window stuff and replace it with the manual parts....

you can also possible order new parts from the auto manufacturer ...

other than that, I'm not sure a conversion exists .. without alot of custom made hardware involved... which would probably cost alot of money

but for a model car that's 5 years old or more, i would consider my method of replacement..

you may be able to "RESELL" the electic parts to re-coup your cost of the manual parts.. possibly a "break-even" situation... so "rip-out" your old electric parts very carefully...

maybe a body shop would do the thing for you for a reasonable cost

Clearance specs for a crankshaft sensor on a 1992 grand voyager 3.3l v6 engine?

There is a little spacer that the dealer sells that is glued to the end of the crank sensor before instillation. That is the gap setting.

How do you adjust the idle on a Dodge Intrepid?

: Hi there, try this, if you disconnected your battery the computer has to learn to do it again ....so disconnect it again and then put it back . when you start the car run it as close to idle seed as possible then take it out for a run on all road condtions for about 5k. that should do the trick.THE ONLY WAY IS PROBABLY WITH A NEW CRANK SENSOR ON MY 1999 IT AS EASY TO CHANGE SOME AUTO PARTS TELL YOU ITS A DEALER ITEM BUT IF YOUR NEAR A NAPA STORE TRY THEM FIRST

The idle on most computer-controlled fuel-injected vehicles is not adjustable, per se. The computer controls the idle speed. There are probably other issues. If the vehicle starts and runs, it's not the crank sensor, which has no control of idle speed.

What are the symptoms of a bad camshaft position sensor in a 1998 Dodge Intrepid?

The Check Engine Light should be on if the sensor is faulty. The car may or may not hesitate, stall, or accelerate poorly.

To read the engine error codes, cycle the ignition key from "off" to "on" three times:

Turn the iginition key to the "on" position where the check engine light comes on but do not start the car. Turn the ignition key to off, then on, off, and on again and leave the key there. The odometer will read out any error codes. P0340 and P0344 are trouble codes for the camshaft position sensor.

Where is the PCV valve on a 2000 Dodge Intrepid?

Could you tell me why my Dodge Intrepid would turn over and not start but after a few minutes it did start and now the check engine light is on and the intrepid did start and ran just fine?

In most 90's and up Dodge/Chrysler vehicles, you can try to pull codes from the car's computer as long as you still have a charged battery. Put your key in the ignition, and turn it forward, but not far enough to engage the starter. Turn the key back to the Off position, then forward, back and forward again. In early 90s vehicles, the Check Engine light is going to flash a number of times. Often, code 55 means it is completed. In mid and late 90s vehicles, you will often get a 4 digit code that may help you diagnose problems starting, mostly checking the eletrical, ignition and sensor systems.

How do you release the tension on 98 Dodge Intrepid 2.7 power steering alternator belt?

I haven't done that particular model but all the rest have pretty much been the same. It should have a tensioner with a pulley on it bolted to the engine. The tensioner will have a square hole in it for a ratchet or breakover bar to fit in it. Some are 1/2" and some are 3/8". When you place the ratchet in the square hole and pull it, it will collapse the spring letting the tension release from the belt. Slip the belt off the pulley and ease the ratchet off.

How do you replace power steering pump on a 1999 intrepid?

The power steering pump is located on the drivers side under the alternator. There is 3 bolts that can be reached thru the pully, as well as the hose coming from the resovior and the pressure line, which I think is 18mm. Now this is for a 3.2 setup. For the 2.7 the pump has the resovior has on it, there is a bit more work as you may need to take off a plate before you can get at the bolts.
