I talked to mechanic and he fixed 5th cylinder misfire on Dodge engine by changing chank shaft postition sensor. It came out on code reader though.

1994-2001 Dodge ram 1500's have 5.5 on 5 bolt patterns.

1994-2002 Dodge Ram 2500/3500's have 6.5 on 8 bolt patterns.

The starter solenoid is on the starter.

Transmission solenoids are inside the trasnmission.

No you cannot "chip" the 93 cummins. It is a mechanical fuel system with almost no electronics. What you can do is replace the fuel plate, bigger injectors, exhaust, etc. I highly suggest researching thing a lot more before you do it though.

I DO BELIEVE THE SOLENOID IS MOUNTED ON THE STARTER AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE STARTER TO REPLACE THE SOLENOID remove the starter and take it down to your local auto parts store. they can bench test the starter and give you the proper solenoid if it needs to be replaced.

this opperation is quite simple. the sensor is located on the back of the throttle body. It is held on by two Torx type screws. T15 i believe is the correct size if i am not mistaken. It may be easier to access the unit by removing the throttle body itself. the throttle body is held on by two 13mm bolts. the entire process should take no more then 15 minuites.

if you have a first gen (1989 to 1993) 12 valve cummins.turn the fuel screw one turn or more turns to create horspower and torqe and black smoke.

but if you have a gen 2 a (1994-1998) then you have to move your fuel plate up.

my windshield motor is working great, but the spline that the wiper arm sits on is worn out. do i need to replace the the motor or can i purchase another spline.

Depending on the year, you will need a different engine, trans, driveshaft, cooling system, wiring, computers, ac, front suspension, etc.

You are better off buying a truck that is already diesel.
