It sounds to me like his intention is to hear arguments from the class that the world is flat so that he can counter the arguments with evidence to the contrary. He is taking the role that the earth is an oblate spheroid. I think he wants you to take the position of people centuries ago who did not have access to our current knowledge. If I have interpreted your question correctly, then why not join in the fun and really make him work at his proof. You could say things like:
- My experience of the world is that it is flat.
- I don't know how all those photographs were made, or how they might have been tampered with.
- I can only see so far and no farther because the surface is bumpy, not smoothe, and because the atmosphere sometimes obscures the view.
- If the world were not flat, wouldn't we slide off as we started going over the curve? (We both know this is silly, but what would the experience be of people in Medieval times?) If your teacher says something about gravity, you can ask him how he experiences people on the other 'side' of the world being pushed up, or is that just something he has to make up to support his belief in the Big Ball theory?
- If there is a large object hovering high in the atmosphere, will it always eventually come down to earth? "Yes", he will say. Isn't this evidence that the earth is flat? Otherwise the object would sometimes miss and go someplace else.
If your teacher doesn't have a particularly good sense of humor, you might want to go easy with some of this. Eventually you will have to admit (and do so graciously, because your teacher can take only so much of this) that you must accept as valid quite a few observations that you have not personally made. This is what a lot of science involves. On the other hand, healthy skepticism about everything is what causes science to advance. I'd love to hear how the lesson goes.

Bachelors degrees typically take 4 years. If you choose to add minor endorsements .. which is a good idea it may take 5 or at least a summer or two taking classes. I might add, a bachelor's degree in most areas can require between 124 to 128 college credits particular to a specific program of study. For individuals who work or who have other responsibilities that would prohibit them from attending full-time, completion of the degree may take twice as long. Still, some of this time can be cut down by attending summer sessions and/or interim sessions. In addition, the bachelors and associate degrees are referred to as undergraduate degrees with the Masters and Doctorate degrees referred to as graduate degrees.
Why do teachers have to teach evolution?
If you have ever been to a museum in Europe, you will no doubt have seen the knight's armor that is usually displayed. Knights were the fearsome warriors of the time, sent out to fight for their country and religion. Whether their battles were justified is not relevant to this discussion, what IS relevant is the size of the knights. Most were UNDER 5'6"... and they were considered fierce warriors. Today's fierce men are over 6ft tall. If I walked into a room full of knights from that era, even the most fierce would consider me to be a giant, yet in today's society, I'm just a little over average height. That is an example of evolution. The human species has evolved over the last couple hundred thousand years. It's the same with the animals. They adapt to fit a niche. It doesn't really matter what your religious beliefs are, evolution is real. Examples of evolution are everywhere if you'll just look. But if you insist on sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting, just so that you don't have to hear it, that's your choice. The God I believe in didn't expect his creations to remain static. The God I believe in wants us all to make ourselves better. Hopefully my children are better than me. Hopefully they will be smarter and able to make better decisions. Over the ages, organized religion has demonstrated an abysmal history in their decision making. Through the history of the human species, most wars and killings have been in the name of religion. We still have wars, and the one that is going on now is a fine example of another religious war, fought in the name of their silly, ineffectual moon god. If decisions were made on the basis of logic and reasoning, the species would be able to improve itself, perhaps the way that God would want it. Remember that it is the religious leaders of the radical sects who encourage superstitious behavior.

For some people, creationism is one aspect of religion and it is taught if it is in the relevant curriculum. I should think that the teacher would play the piece, or at least the beginning few pages if it is a long piece so that the student could hear the tempo, emotion as well as the obvious notes. Some kind of verbal introduction, perhaps the history of the piece, the composer or other interesting facts about the music could be discussed.
