What does the Great American Seal mean?
The Great Seal of the United States is used to authenticate certain documents issued by the United States federal government. The phrase is used both for the physical seal itself (which is kept by the United States Secretary of State), and more generally for the design impressed upon it. The Great Seal was first used publicly in 1782. The design on the obverse of the great seal is the national coat of arms of the United States.[1] It is officially used on documents such as United States passports, military insignia, embassy placards, and various flags. As a coat of arms, the design has official colors; the physical Great Seal itself, as affixed to paper, is monochrome. Since 1935, both sides of the Great Seal appear on the reverse of the one-dollar bill. The Seal of the President of the United States is directly based on the Great Seal, and its elements are used in numerous government agency and state seals.

The Founding Fathers were not responsible for the Pledge of Allegiance. It was written in 1892 by a magazine editor and officially adopted by the US Congress in 1942. The words "under God" were not added until 1954. The intent, according to President Eisenhower was "In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America's heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country's most powerful resource in peace and war."

What does the American Anthropological Association view on race mean?
"Race" does not biologically exist. This is shown through numerous genetic discoveries. It is a human invention, an ideology, that grew to extreme popularity during the 19th century as a way of categorizing humanity and justifying political actions and ideologies of the time (colonialism, slavery, etc. leading into eugenics, Nazi ideology, and beyond). It is a perspective on humanity. As more and more studies on race and its biological basis are continuing to be called for, the AAA felt the need to address the issue in their 1998 statement, which, as far as I know, still stands. Not all anthropologists agree on this statement, but most have come to the same conclusion that "race" is a purely culturally made set of categories.
My personal favorite example on how the concept of race changes and is culturally based is this: Many today argue that those with African ancestry are born with more "fast twitch muscle" and are therefore superior at sports than other "races" (with the implication that mentally they are inferior). This is entirely opposite of the stereotypes lauded as biological truth in the early 20th century - where white Jewish males were seen as natural basketball stars, and blacks were seen as doomed to die out due to "physical inferiority." Stereotypes and these so-called biological "truths" change over time and are purely an invention.
Skin color evolved over time as an adaptation to different climates. It is not associated with only one type of hair texture, physical ability, facial features, etc. Skin color is ambiguously distributed across the globe.
The part where this gets sticky is in forensic anthropology. As Byers explains in Forensic Anthropology, the debate over "race" continues in some arenas of osteology and anthropology, but the area of forensics does not have the luxury. Forensic anthropology is deeply entrenched in the culture of the society it resides due to the fact that it works closely with police forces. As long as the police use racial categories to try and identify individuals, so must the forensic anthropologist. However, forensic anthropology has adopted the term "ancestry" to try and more accurately describe what they are identifying and avoid some stereotypes associated with "race."
Cultural anthropologists in general tend to reject "race" altogether, due to more experience with seeing the ambiguity with how skin color is distributed. Physical anthropologists and archaeologists tend to as well, although there are those who dissent.

What is the significance of the symbol on Kevin Matchsticks tshirt in the comicbook Mage?
In the first series we find that Kevin is king Arthur, in the second series we find that he is actually the first hero of fiction Gilgamesh or perhaps Simply the archetype of the Great Hero. No matter what other mythological reincarnations we are introduced to Kevin seems destined to be the greatest. The Thunderbolt is a common symbol of the hero and representative of power. Kevin discovering his power in the first series, and coming to understand it in the second series being the major themes of the story. His thunderbolt symbolically represents his singular destiny.....That and Matt Wagner probably thought a black shirt was a little too much empty space and wanted Kevin to look a lil' super-heroy and was reading a Shazaam book at the time.
