- Pop the hubcap (if applicable) to get access to the lugs (use a screwdriver or hubcap tool).

- Block the opposite tire
- Now use jack to raise corner in question just enough for the tire to clear the ground. (Most new cars have a scissor or bottle jack. In either case just insert handle & turn to raise. Use frame near wheel in question or a-arm if front.)
- Remove lugs/tire.
- Put on spare.
- Thread lugs as far as you can until wheel turns.
- Lower car until tire gets enough contact with ground to stop from turning.
- Fully tighten lugs. This will allow wheel movement towards drum/rotor.
- Now drop all the way (recheck torque after 25 miles or have a friend double check at your next stop).
NOTE: Some lug nuts have a left-handed thread. Look on the end of the wheel stud and if you see an "L," it is a left-handed thread. In that case you would turn the lug wrench clockwise to remove them.

Since the tire size is slightly different than the standard one, I think it may be lower than the printed recommended pressure in car's door (not on the side wall of the tire, because this one shows the max pressure but not the recommended pressure).

^^^ What an idiotic response! Since you obviously do not know the right answer, why post anything at all? The sidewall of the tires states to check in the user manual for the proper PSI, which is hardly helpful. I usually put around 14 PSI in the rear tires and about 12 PSI in the front. I cannot find the user manual for my 2001 Rancher but 14/12 is what a fellow Rancher owner told me.
STRAIGHT FROM THE OWNER'S MANUAL! I HAVE a Honda 420 with MAXXIS M977 (front) and M978 (rear). The OWNER's manual says the correct/recommended tiure pressure is 4.4 psi (30kPa) front and rear. They actually supplied a small, low range tire gauge so I could get it right. The first answer is so far off the mark it is not even funny.
