How hard is it to replace a car starter?

Replacing the starter itself is really easy... Just un-bolt it and remove the electrical connections and then do the reverse with the new one.

However it can be very awkward to get at all of the bolts and connections. It will take longer but it might be best to remove all obstructions that are in the way so you have better access to it, rather than struggling which may result in damage to yourself or components.

What is the space between the front seats in a 1988 Bronco II?

I have an 88' Bronco II Eddie BauerEdition, 2-WD. I also have the repair book on it as well. Some models came with a floor console, including an armrest that attaches to the top of the console. From time to time you can find oem's on eBay. If your truck, like mine, does not have the holes drilled for the console, you can drill them and still add a console.

How do you remove a gas tank from a 1995 Chevy caprice to remove a fuel pump from the tank?

if you can, try and use as much gas before working on your car. It is better to use a hoist for this job. The car needs to be jacked up, you'll need to drop the tank. There are two bolts that are used with the tank straps. Before you loosen them be sure to support the tank, with ply wood and another jack. once lowered, disconnect all fuelines and wiring. Unbolt the sending unit, pull it out of the tank slowly. replace the pump make sure there is good ventilation. keep a hose near by. Also make sure to check the fuel pump box for a gas screen, you'll need to replace itaswell. while you at it do the fuel filter

--------------------

Do NOT use a trouble light while you do this job. If gasoline hits the hot light bulb it will cause the bulb to burst and it can set the gas aflame. I use either a floursecent bulb style trouble light or a flashlight. Also use wd-40 on the gas tank strap bolts as they will probably be rusty.

On 1990 Ford Bronco II fuel gauge registers empty regardless if its full what common problem causes this?

The wire from the fuel tank float unit to the gauge could be shorted to ground, or else could be open(disconnected). The float unit, if a brass "tank" type is no longer airtight, allowing fuel into float & causing it to drop to bottom of tank (where it would go if tank were empty). If float is like neoprene, it may now soak up gasoline rather than float in it--causing a heavy, fuel-logged float to again sink.

What size gas tank does a 1988 Bronco II XL 2.9 have?

Where is the fuel pump located on a 1993 bronco?

Answer

A fuel pump on a 1993 Ford Bronco is located on the top of the gas tank. In order to change the fuel pump you will have to drop (take) the gas tank out. It's best to soak the bolts and nuts for the tank straps in penetrating lube (spray) before you attempt to remove the straps. When you take the tank out its a pain to get it back in it the lip on the tank is a hair to big to fit in the frame rails... (Good Luck)
