Roughly 60 in-lbs or a little less. Begin from bolts at middle/center of valve cover and work towards the ends. If you don't have an in-lb torque wrench, then use a nutdriver but tighten it with whichever hand is not your dominant one ( if you're right handed, use your left hand - less likely to ver-tighten.

On the left side of the instrument cluster is the EV (electric) indicator and tachometer, which is scaled in rotations per minute or RPM, from its written icon. The gasoline pump icon in the center is the fuel level indicator. To its right is the charge and assist level, and to its lower right is the speedometer.

Apparently this is a common problem. The tow truck driver that rescued us carried a 5 foot length of 4x4 for this purpose. Once the vehicle is off the ground, properly supported, and the lug nuts are off, use the 4x4 to hit the back of the tire with considerable force. You may have to rotate the wheel 180 degrees and repeat.

10MM Alan. I just removed the head from my 7M-GE last night. I had to run to Sears to get a set of metric Alan Sockets. They ran $30 for a set of 6 sockets. Be careful not to loose the washers underneath the head bolts like I did!

If it flickers, chances are that the switch has gone bad.

It's a $30-$40 OEM Part. Strangely. the Non-OEM Part costs 2.5 times as much.

I don't have 2000 specs, but according to the 2004 Sienna Repair Manual the torque spec for the front brake caliper mounting bolts is 79 ft-lbs and the torque spec for the brake pad pins is 25 ft-lbs.

If your car is shaking, it normally has to do with your tires. Check your tires for a flat or to make sure they are securely put on.

Assuming yours is the same as the 2001, it is under the dash, to the LEFT of the steering column and near the hood release.

when i add water to the rads the water comes out the oil drain just as fast. add air pressure pushes ot liquid just as fast. head gasket would not push water out this fast would it or would there be a hole in the piston wall or wondering if it would be the intake

I just completed this task. I would suggest not removing the upper intake unless you just can't get around it. It is not hard, just time consuming. You will have to move most of your accesories out of the way (alternator and A/C, remove the upper fan shroud and the power steering pulley along with the A/C mounting bracket) If you are having the common intake coolant leak problem, I suggest you also spring for a new set of intake bolts. Be careful how tight you torque evrything, remember its aluminum.

Also try and disconnect the fuel lines at the back of the engine, I did not do this and now I have to try and replace the fuel line o-rings.

After disassembly make sure evrything is super clean, if you scrape the intake be careful not to scratch or gouge it.

When you go back together you will need to be very careful of how you position the intake, the front and rear seals are RTV Black and you must clear some obstacles near the rear of the engine so you can place the intake square and straight down on the block.

Yes, all engines based on combustion have some sort of timing belt to control the valves.

If the PCV system fails, severe sludge buildup and oil leaks can occur. I've had to add 2-3 quarts of oil between oil changes depending on the type of driving i.e. more for highway; less for city. A malfunctioning PCV system is nocuous because you won't know there's a problem until it's to late. NO oil puddles NO nothing! So get in the habit of checking the dip stick to keep engine oil at the proper levels to avoid MAJOR damage to the engine! THE OIL WARNING LIGHT IS WORTHLESS!

I'd like to ask the Ford engineer who designed this Rube Goldberg why he placed the PCV valve underneath the intake manifold!? You have to remove the intake manifold to replace a lousy $15.00 plastic valve? Doh! Here's why a Ford dealership will charge you 2.5 hours labor to do the work!

I wonder how many Escape owners have blown their engines because of a faulty $15.00 valve? The sad thing is they probably didn't even know it and Ford sure the hell ain't gonna tell them.

I am inthe process of removing ona right now, you are going to have to support the engine somhow because there is only one mount holding the engine, all the others are on the transmission
