How do you replace a seat belt motor in a 1993 Ford Tempo?

I'm not sure about the '93, but on the '92 four door it's pretty easy. The motor is located at the bottom of the center column also know as the 'B Pillar'. Carefully remove the plastic trim (it's very difficult to find replacement trim). Remove the three bolts securing the motor. Carefully unplug the electrical connector. Don't break the plastic retainer! I found it was much easier to do this by removing the seat first, but I'm not sure it's totally necessary.

You replaced the Fuel pump for 1991 ford tempo and it still wont start?

i just bought a 1993 ford tempo gl do you know where the fuel cut off switch is in the truck because i cant get my car started it has spark and brand new battery any body know?Answermake sure you are getin fuel to the motor then check for spark on all plugs if all ok mak sure your batt. is charged and starter is ok AnswerEarly 90's Fords also had a fuel cut-off switch usually located in the trunk, that would switch off in an accident to prevent more fuel from going to the engine. The problem with the switch is if you hit a bump hard enough, it will trip the switch. So if you not getting fuel, try finding the switch and make sure that it's on. AnswerSomething I encountered was a bad mass airflow sensor. With the key turned off, unplug the sensor and try starting the car. With a bad sensor I unplugged it, and it took a little bit to get the car to start. Just to be sure as well, you could remove the breather hose from the intake manafold. AnswerAlso, check the fuel pump relay behind the glove box. They have a tendency to become unseated.

How do you deactivate the alarm in a 94 Tempo?

Sadly, the Tempo never came equipped with a factory alarm system, the system in your '94 has to be an aftermarket setup. If you want to keep it, go to a local car alarm store or a place that specializes in them and ask them to either remove it for you, deactivate the alarm, or purchase a new remote or 2. The true answer you're looking for would lie in the manual booklet for the alarm itself.
