How do you change the heater core in a 1992 Ford Tempo GL with air conditioning?
I have this same kind of car w/ a 3.0 L V-6. And thought my heater core went out but it's actually just leaky. It's located behind the dash, locate the floor vent, and basically..its just above that. It's a job and a half, very time consuming and extremely frustrating. I'd recommend taking it to a trust worthy garage and have them do it. The heater core itself isn't that expensive, but after you have someone install it, you wouldn't believe it.
A Beguine is a slower rumba/samba inspired dance. The tempo varies, but is likely around 112-124 unless otherwise marked
Where is the IAT sensor on a 93 Ford Tempo?
It's located in the rear of the air box. If you remove the lid off the air filter box and look inside under the filter you will see a orange tip sticking through the side of the box. That is the IAT (Intake Air Tempurature) sensor.
How do you find and replace the heater core on a 1993 Ford Tempo GL 2.3 liter?
The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00
What would cause a lot of blowback besides a bad PCV valve on a 1994 Ford Tempo?
worn rings, get a can of RESTORE, add it when you change oil. Replace one quart of oil when you change for the can of restore. The restore will help reseat the rings and hopefully reseal them to stop the blow by unless the rings are too far gone........and change out the PCV valve if you haven't. most blowback is caused by broken rings, not worn rings. adding any chemical only masks a problem and will just lead to a more expensive repair at a not to distanyt future

Where is the location of the starter in a 1989 Ford Tempo?
While looking down at the engine from the front of the car, I would look straight down past the oil filter, and the exhaust gas recirculating hose and you should see the solenoid for sure.
Where is the thermostat located on a Ford Tempo?
On the right side of the motor, mounted to the drivers side of the motor between the motor and a hose. Its smaller than you would expect.
The light switch may be bad and does not know that the car is on. It may be the warning bell that you get when you turn off the car and leave the lights on.
A: Good chance. Is the door ajar light on? Most likely a door sensor is bad and is saying that door is open thus interior light is on. On a Taurus I sprayed carb cleaner into sensor to clean it. Or brake cleaner. Do so at your own risk but it worked for me.
Where is the transmission dipstick on a 1989 Ford Tempo?
One of two possible places either directly in front of the cooling fan or on the drivers side of the car behind the transaxle. If you still dont see it you have a serious problem
The cooling system has probably been compromised with radiator solder seal or radiator sealant. After the vehicle is warmed up, use your hand to carefully feel the temperature of the air flow through the radiator. It should be warm all over. If there is a cold spot, then there are plugged portions of the core. Since it only overheats periodically, the cold spot may be relatively small. If you can detect the overheating event while driving, turn the heater on full to cool it down. If this trick works, you definitely do not have sufficient radiator function.
Where is the fuel pump located on a Ford Tempo?
If it is an electronic fuel pump (more than likely) it is located on top of the gas tank under the car. to access it you need to drop the gas tank, which is not as bad as it sounds, if you do you must syphon as much gas as possible from the tank, disconnect the filler hose from the tank, undo the straps holding the tank in place and than lower the tank down (obviously you must safely jack up and use jack stands to support your vehicle, when I replaced my fuel pump I jacked up the passenger side of my 93 tempo) if you need to replace the fuel pump I recommend replacing the entire unit not just the pump motor. Don't forget to disconnect the battery before you start.
Where is the headlight relay on 1994 Ford Taurus?
Hi, The only headlight relay I can find is if you have auto headlights and that is behind the dash at the center mounted on a brace. Hope this helps. Steve H.
How do you replace a fuel tank on a Ford Tempo?
With little or no fuel in the tank, start to remove all the connections, hoses, wires, and outlet rubber lines. Remove the bolts that hold the straps, the tank will slide out on the side a little just enough to get by the exhaust pipe. The car should be supported under the frame part in front of the rear wheels, this gives the space needed to remove the tank. Remember, use a brass punch to remove the locking ring on the tank. Also use air pressure to blow away dirt around the ring lock.
How do you change serpentine belt on 1991 ford tempo and what tool needed?
to change the belt ....there sould be a diagram of running route ...under the hood....you will have to drop the starter....no special tool ....flat heat screwdriver....socket to drop starter. GOOD LUCK, LISA No, you do NOT need to remove the starter! Are you kidding? That's like the GM Vega, having to pull the engine to remove spark plugs! Starter has nothing to do with the belts. You need a belt tensioner tool (up to 1990) to release the tension of the belt. Put new one on using the same routing of the old belt. Release tension off tensioner, and good to go. If you have the belt off, it is a good idea to also replace water pump belt, since it runs behind it. (up to about 1991... '92 and later use serpentine for water pump as well) Keep in mind, Tempo up to 1990 uses a different tool for the tensioner. 1991 and later, you can just use a 1/2 inch ratchet drive.
How do you install front wheel bearings on a 1991 Ford Tempo?
This is not an easy job. Best to have it done at your local shop. Labor is about 1 hour per side, bearing cost is around $ 60.00.
Where is the transmission dipstick located on a 1989 Ford Tempo?
If it has a manual transmission, there is none. If it is an A/T then keep looking around. It does have one. Your owner's manual will list the location. A drive to you local Ford dealer will provide you with the answer if you are unable to find it. Your transmission dipstick is just below and in front of the air filter on the drivers side, just to the right of the engine block, my dip stick has a black handle so it is a little hard to see.
