You won't see this used in the field by soldiers for a few reasons. If you don't pad the silverware properly it'll rattle around in the mess kit and make noise that's detectable by the enemy. If you DO pad it properly you've probably wrapped your fork in a sock, which you're eventually going to need to put on your foot; when you do you've unpadded your fork and, once again, it'll rattle around and make noise. It's silver so it reflects light the enemy can see. (It's a dull silver but it's still visible.) The immersion heater you need to clean it produces a heat signature visible for miles away. It takes up space in your mess kit. And it's another thing to lose in the field. Troops who aren't eating MREs are dining on rations that come with paper plates and plastic silverware.

Yes...and no. There are purebred, registered German Shepherds who happen to be white. However, under the AKC they are disqualified for showing in the breed ring. This led to a movement to create a separate breed called the White Shepherd (as opposed to the white German Shepherd) under the UKC (United Kennel Club). There was a period of time when a registered white German Shepherd could compete under either breed, but I believe they are now considered two separate breeds. Owners of white German Shepherds had to choose which they wanted their dog to be. Part of the reason for this split is not just about color. On average, White Shepherds have more of a traditional look than modern AKC show German Shepherds. White Shepherds have level backs and are not over angulated, going back to what the German Shepherd was in the 60's and 70's.

Although I am not a veterinarian or expert on German Shepherds, I did own one for several years, and in my experience, he would wine when he was sad, anxious, or missed us. Unfortunately we used to purposefully rile our dog up sometimes because we thought that high-pitched nasally whine was really cute, but in the most basic term, they whine as a coping mechanism, much like how we'll cry when we get sad. I'm not sure I understand the question. The police are prohibited from making warrantless, non consenual searches. If you consent to let the police search your home, why would they want to shoot your dogs? Why wouldn't you restrain your dogs if you were allowing the police to search? If the police have a warrant to search the premises, they are absolutely authorized to destroy the dogs during the execution of the warrant, if necessary.

Food that is appropriate for a small breed puppy is not necessarily appropriate for a large breed puppy because small breeds are supposed to mature more quickly. To slow growth and thereby reduce stress on the nerve net, lower the protein and fat content of the dog's food by switching pups to adult formulas starting between five and six months of age. Make the change gradual. The first week, feed 3/4 puppy food mixed with 1/4 adult. The second week feed half puppy and half adult. The third week, feed 3/4 adult and 1/4 puppy. From the fourth week on you can feed adult food exclusively.
