This method works. I just tried it, and it erased my Trojan instantaneously.

It's behind the drivers side headlight.

Remove the right/drivers side headlamp. There are two white clips holding the headlight assembly in. Once removed you need to unplug the headlamp connectors. Now the headlight is out of the way.

For ease it's a good idea to start the car and turn the wheel all the way to the left and then turn the car off. This will allow you to get to the 4 screws and one 6 MM bolt that hold the front part of the plastic cover/shroud under the fender. Remove two screws directly underneath the bumper outter edge and the two ascending from the front going up. The 6mm bolt is in the inner portion of the fender shroud. Now you can pull the plastic cover out a little ways to have full access to the air injection pump.

It can be removed by unbolting the 3 10mm bolts and then removing the lower hose facing the front of the car as it has no clamp on it.

The connector was a little hard for me to figure out. I removed the light gray insert first as it looked like it was a lock of some sorts. Once that was removed I was able to press the connector to remove the clamp and pull the electrial connector off.

The pump should be almost free. The other clamp with the hose I was able to pull off with the clamp still on it. You need a special tool as it is one of those crimped clamps. I was able to force it back on upon installation. It is probably a good idea to remove the clamp and get a regular hose clamp for what it's worth.

I tried taking the pump apart and clean it to get it to come to life. I think once it's dead it's dead. The design doesn't seem right to be made in two separate pieces. I'm not sure of the logic of this but it would appear to be a better idea to have a completely sealed unit as dirt and water abound in the pump.

Press and hold the Power I/O button and this should resolve the issue

To fix a loose vacuum hose on a 2002 GMC Envoy, it can be clamped with a small hose clamp. Use a metal clamp that can be adjusted to fit the small hose.

Turn the key to run with the engine off.Then as soon as the key is turned to the off position, press the accelerator pedal 3 times with five seconds.Then turn the key to the lock position.If the light still stays on, have it brought to someone like a mechanic who should be able to reset it.

The only way to drain all the coolant is to unhook the bottom radiator hose. The radiator does NOT have a drain vale.

You can locate the transmission fluid in your 2004 GMC Envoy by using the transmission fluid dipstick. The transmission fluid will be in the transmission fluid pan.

On a inline 6 cylinder, it is right behind the alternator.

Turn off engine. 1) erase the factory test codes by pressing the 2 outside buttons until the light begins to flash (about 20 sec.) 2) Choose one of the buttons to train. You can train up to 3 different devices. Place the handheld controller within 1 inch or the universal transmitter on visor and push the buttons of both transmitters. The red light on the visor will begin to flash slowly. 3) When the light starts flashing rapidly ( this may take as long as a minute). Release both buttons. It now should be trained.

In 02, the Envoy was a trim package for the Jimmy.. it didn't become a separate model until the next year, IIRC.

So, you would have the 4.3 Vortec, and I have some unfortunate news for you - the oil pump is an integral part of the engine. By which I mean, it's inside the engine, and, to replace it, you'll need to pull out the engine, remove the oil pan, and access it that way.

There is a knob that turns that from the floor to the vents. It is ran by a small linkage. It could be possible that the linkage has come off or broke.

7.0 Quarts

I just did this a few weeks ago. First you have to take out all the screws holding the light fixture in. I suggest leaving the top screws in for last. The whole light assembly will come out when you do this. When you have the assmbly out, look for a couple of red plastic (lense) tabs on one side, and a couple of small screws on the other side of the assembly. Remove the small screws and then gently press on the tabs to release the lense. In most cases there is a foam gasket that makes the lense stick to the assmbley housing so you may need a little help getting the lense off. (I broke off one of the tabs by accident and used super glue to reattach it.) There is also a clear relector plate inside the lense that will probably fall out. It just slides into place so don't worry if it falls out. Once you have the lense off you can see the bulb in the assembly housing. Just push down and twist counter clock wise on the bulb and it should come out. Put in your new build and replace everything in revese order. \

This is probably related to a dirty throttle body. In order to clean it properly you must disconnect the battery and remove it. Not very difficult to do but it will make a big difference in the idle smoothness and fix the stalling. The PCM will reset after you disconnect the battery for 15-20 min and take a few drive cycles to re-learn everything. I am about to do mine within the next few weeks as the winter gas always causes problems for me.
