Typically premium gas is only 20cents per gallon more than regular unleaded. so if you put in 15 gallons, you're paying 3.00$ more which happens to be much less than an extra gallon of fuel. fuel additives are not guranteed to boost your octan by 6 pts, and those that are more likely to do it are 15$ a bottle or more. Meaning that premium is not only cheaper, but it will likely provide more performance and better mileage than regular with a fuel additive. take My Pontiac G6 GTP. Factory sticker says it gets 18mpg city. on 87 it gets that 18 mpg which is dismal, on 89 however, it gets 20-21. Which in a basic tank means I can get 300-315 miles out of a tank on 89 vs 270 miles on 87. Take that 315 minus 270 and you get 45 miles further I can drive on 89 than on 87. More importantly that 45 miles translates to 2.5 gallons or 10.00$ extra I'd have to pay using 87 to get the same distance as on 89. The cost of 89 is 1.50$ more pertank granting me a savings of 8.50$ by stepping up a fuel grade. On 91octane fuel I get 23-24 mpg, which by the math shown above saves me 20$ vs going the same distance on 87 and grants me a savings of 17$ after cost. This wont work for every vehicle, smaller engines wont respond as well to the higher octane fuel and give you limited gains over regular grade. But if your vehicle requires premium, you will see similar results. So I'd forget about the hassle of finding the right octane booster and just put in premium 91 octane (or 90 depending on your area) it will save you money and be guaranteed at that octane level. (whereas octane boosters are not)

All GMC Envoy radios from 2003 and up have the option for auxiliary audio input, satellite radio or rear DVD, If there is no rear video system in the GMC envoy most likely there is no aux audio input, the good news is that you can add one to the factory radio, that is the reason why you have a BAND and CD AUX button

Head bolts bad about breaking and causing blown head gaskets,Valve guides wear prematurely causing bent valves and cyl misfire. If you own one and keep getting cyl 3 or cyl 4 misfire along with oxygen sensor needs replacing, Do a compression check before spending money on parts you don't need.

They should be on the exhaust manifold visible from under the hood.

There are not any wires. This engine used a coil over the plug to fire it. The coil is held in place by two long bolts for each coil. CAREFULLY remove the bolts without cranking hard on them .... they have been known to snap if overtightened. Then lift out the coil and leave the wires attached. The plug is directly below and can be easily removed. Do not overtighten!

2002 has 18.7gal, 2003-2009 has 22gal

According to the 05 brochure, the Envoy I6 has a max. capacity of 6300lbs. The XL version I6 is 6000lbs. Xuv is 5800lbs. The V8 Envoy XL is 7000lbs and the V8 XUV is 5900lbs.

The thermostat is located inside of the top radiator inlet. The inlet is behind the alternator, and the alternator will have to be removed.

The oxygen sensor is on the Right side (passenger)exhaust look under the vehicle and you will see it. On my 93 Blazer it is located in the pipe leading to the muffler right after the left and right pipes meet and it is on the top of the pipe pointing at the floorboard.

Not much help on the Question, but if you start on the front by pulling the wires off, and put the sparkplug wrench over the plug and turn counter clockwise you will have a idea how to do the other side......good luck Phil

It is part of the Oil Life Management system developed by GM.

The oil change light indicaes that your oil should be changed within the next two tankfulls of gas. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will show very low oil life percentage at this point.

It must be reset at the time of your oil change. It can be reset by using the reset button on the Driver Informatin Center or by the procedure outlined in the manual.

Turn the key to the on position just before the starter engages. Fully depress the gas pedal 3 times in five seconds then the oil light should flash then go out. Turn the key off then go through the start procedure to see if you got it right. This procedure is almost a game at dealerships with bets being made. Keep trying and review the procedure in your manual.

its under the glove conpartment. 2 screws hold it in place.

the secondary air injection system is the smog pump and valve. the valve is located on the exhaust manifold with 2 hoses leading to the smog pump which is located under the drivers side floor. it is electric.
