Mexico does not celibrate Halloween; they have a holiday called "Day of the Dead" which is celebrated on November 1st.

People dress up. Children call to houses to collect things that people give them. There are fireworks and bonfires. There are parties. People play games.

The Mexican People (or Guatemalan) don't exactly celebrate Halloween. They celebrate something similar, called Dia De Los Muertos. This is a holiday that pays respects to relatives that have passed on. The Mexican build altars with gifts to the dead, believing that on either the day for the young (Nov. 1st) or the day for the elder(Nov. 2nd), based on which one they are, they will come in the form of a monarch butterfly, and take the paid gifts. If the relatives don't find their altar and receive them, they will be very angry and haunt the people responsible. The Mexican lead large parades with large, colorful masks, some carrying coffins of recently died relatives. During the night, in rural places, citizens get together in a cemetery and spruce up graves of friends or relatives. They spend the whole night cleaning up the yard all together, though they make it more into a party rather than a large job to do. Mexicans do all this more in fear that their relatives will be angry rather than to celebrate.

• There were cultist and on Halloween that warded off evil spirits by wearing mask and lanterns, but instead of a Jack-O'-Lantern they used turnips to scare away the spirits another story of the jack o lantern is that there was a trickster named jack that tricked the devil into climbing up a tree and the devil got stuck, so he cursed Jack's soul to walk in the darkness with just a turnip lantern to guide him. Of course turnips weren't common in the U.S.A so they used Pumpkins And that's the stary of the Jack-O'-Lantern. And if your thinking Halloween is evil its not if any thing the church is evil, the Irish people were visited by the "Saints" and they wanted them to stop worshiping all of their Gods and stop their holidays but the peope loved Halloween and wouldn't give it up. So if you can't beat them join them, so the church made all Hallows Eve.

Halloween is a carryover from pagan celebrations into Christian traditions, in this case a final free-for-all for demons and spirits of the dead on the eve of All Saints' (All Hallows) Day.
