Elegy is the kind of poem that mourns the death of someone or something. Tennyson's In Memoriam mourns the death of his friend Arthur Hallam. Oliver Goldsmith's the Deserted Village is about the demise of a Village. Thomas Gray's Elegy Written in a Country Church Yard also is about the virtuous past of a village. There has also been 'Elegy on the Death of a Mad Dog.'

It depends on what time period you are talking about, and what your definition of "scene" is. To the French, a scene starts and ends when any character leaves or enters the stage, whereas to the English, a scene starts and ends when the stage is emptied and there is a change of location or time or both. Obviously most plays contain many more French scenes than English ones. Also, Elizabethan plays generally were divided into five acts, each act having between one and eight English scenes, so a play might have sixteen or more scenes. More modern plays have fewer acts and fewer scenes, often three acts which contain one or two scenes each.

Pictures in novels nowadays are being replaced by movie versions of the stories. This means that more people are simply watching the movie before they read the book, so writers are not bothering to include pictures within their novels as the reader will be referring to the movie's point of view.
