How do you replace 2006 VW headlight?
Most new cars nowadays... (I sound like an old timer!)
There is a plastic ring that fits around the base of the bulbholder that you can twist loose, then pull the bulb holder out of the headlight lens assembly. So just reach around to the back of the headlight and find where those wires go in, feel for that ring that has tabs sticking out for your fingers to push against. Turn it counter clockwise to loosen it. Once it's loose, pull firmly and you will have the bulb in your hand, still attached to the wires. The connector has a little snap lock thing (common to most auto electrical connectors). Go buy they bulb first and you'll see what I mean, ask the guy behind the counter at your local parts house which bulb to get. Your parts pro might even be able to show you how to change it!

How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1998 Honda Civic?
I have a '98 civic LX and to change the driver side headlight bulb squeeze and remove the electrical connection on the back of the bulb. Remove the rubber cover. To aid in access pull the power steering reservior up out of its holder. Don't disconnect any lines. Push down on the locking clip and remove the bulb. Installation is reverse of removal. Hopes this helps.
AnswerI had the same problem. Here is the way to do it:
The bulb is covered by a rubber boot. You can't remove the rubber boot without removing the plug from the bulb. The trick is that to remove the plug, you have to reach around each of the horizontal edges of the plug and squeeze. There are little tabs there that lock the plug into the prongs of the bulb. The rubber boot makes pressing the tabs in very tricky (at least if your fingers are as big as mine), but it can be done. Once the plug is removed, pull off the rubber boot, nothing is holding it on except friction. Then you will see the bulb is held in by a wire bracket that is attached tot he headlight assembly by a Philips head screw. You do not need to remove the screw. On the opposite side from the screw is the end of the wire with a loop. Push this in and then up and the wire will swing away. Now the bulb is free. Make sure not to touch the glass part of the new bulb with your fingers. Just reverse this process to reinstall. Make sure to put the rubber boot back on with the holes pointing down.
The driver's side is much easier than the passenger side which is partially blocked by the air filter housing.
OK-but undoing the wire is a bit challenging sometimes, you have to press hard on the sides of the wire clip by inserting your fingers in between the clip and the rubber seal (note the headlight will feel loose).
AnswerThis is the same as for changing the headlight on a 1997 Honda Civic.

AnswerGreat stuff. This REALLY helped but led me add a couple of things.
1. I definitely recommend removing the bumper the first time you replace bulbs.
After you've done it this way you will likely be able to do it later without removing the bumper.
You can find that article by searching: "How do you change both headlights on a 1997 Honda Civic?"
2. Touching the glass part of the new bulb transfers oils from your hand that will drastically reduce the longevity of the bulb.
3. Removing the electrical plug to the lamp requires simultaneous squeezing of the two VERTICAL sides, not the horizontal top and bottom.
4. It took me about an hour my first time.
5. Make sure you research the type of bulb your car will accept.
I felt great after doing it and I couldn't have done it without these articles.
Thanks!
Pictures are helpful. The clip shown below is blown up a little and looks funny.
Your are trying to push on a small clip about .25" square. just at the front of the wire harness.
Squeeze your fingers in to this position on either side and put more pressure into squeezing the tabs than pulling and the ting will pop right off.
Put your fingers on either side of the harness shown below.
Push the metal clip in and bring it up then pull it out toward the back of the car.

How do you go about changing an alternator belt on a 92 civic?
Since the alternator belt is the closest to the engine of the three belts on the crackshaft pulley, I started by removing the Power Steering pump belt since it is the furthest away. Loosen the pivot pulley at the bottom, then the adjusting pulley at the top. The wing nut screw at the top can then be removed and the belt will come loose. That is where simple ends.
To be able to see anything from the top, remove all the bolts from of the power steering pump and move it out of the way. One can then clearly see the tensioner pulley in between the crackshaft pulley and the A/C clutch pulley.
We removed the driver's side tire and plastic wheel well to see the pulleys and belts more clearly. From underneath the wheel well is also how we first located the A/C tensioner pulley adjusting screw, which adjusts from the top IF YOU CAN FIND IT.
This screw is a 10mm hex head screw which is between the engine and the back of the the A/C tensioner pulley. (Get your Mag-lite out) You'll need a few extension bars on your ratchet to reach it. When you start loosening the adjusting screw, if you are lucky, it will loosen the belt and the pulley will move lower. In our case, since corrosion and dirt were everywhere, we took some WD-40 and Blaster (top and bottom) and hardly loosened it up. We had to pound on the top of the extensions with the 10mm socket connected to get the pulley to move down and fully loosen the belt.
Here is the best part.....When you go to remove the A/C belt, the motor mount prevents the belt from coming out. Yes!... you have to remove the outer nut on the motor mount by starting with a 19mm socket, followed by a deep well 14 mm socket to remove the steel bar that goes through the middle of the motor mount rubber (we don't have a deep well 14mm so I might unbolt the whole motor mount and slide the belts through.
We stopped for the night at this point, but the rest should be simple once the motor mount is out of the way. We will be changing all the belts.
What Difference between 1997 civic v-tech and civic HX?

Why should you change spark plug wires?
You should change spark plug wires because with time they'll become frail, the rubber will get hard and crack, creating a place for the current to escape leading to misfires, loss of power and other annoying problems.
How do you change the turn signal for a '98 Honda Civic LX?
I had the same question, when I needed to change my girlfriend's turn signal in her 98 civic ex. I pulled this from www.hondacarforum.com : "Let me tell you a story about turn signal replacement on a Civic (I
have a 98). It seems that in Honda's infinite wisdom, they made
changing the front turn signal bulbs as difficult as possible. Even
more so than trying to get at the oil filter.
Oh sure, it sounds easy at first but when you actually go to do it,
you find you're up a creek. Here is what you are SUPPOSED to do (from
memory):
If you're replacing your passenger side bulb, turn your front wheels
so they are pointing all the way to the left. If the driver side, do
the opposite.
Get a flat-edge screwdriver and look for the plug that attaches the
wheelwell cover to the car. Insert your screwdriver into the slot
between the small part of the plug and the base and pull straight out.
If you do things correctly, you should now have what looks like one of
those pop-up timers in a turkey which tells you when things are
(supposedly) done. If you do things wrong, the top of the plug comes
out and you're now screwed.
If you are so lucky to get the plug to pull out, you should now be
able to pull back the wheelwell cover far enough to get access to the
turn signal bulb. Like all the other bulbs, it has that locking
mechanism you need to undo first.
Remove your old bulb, insert your new one then reverse everything
above and you're good to go.
For the record, my plug top broke off and I had to spend ~$40 to have
a $3 bulb replaced. Took it to a local place which only deals in
Hondas and the guy told me afterwards that over time these plugs get
filled with dirt and are very difficult to remove.
Good luck.
KAS" Good luck :)
Does a hood from a 1999 Honda Civic fit a 1993 Honda Civic?
a hood from a 1999 civic will only fit a 1999 or 2000 civic, and for the 1993, you should be able to use any hood from a 92-95 civic, of the same style (ex. coupe fits coupe, sedan to sedan, and hatchback to hatchback, though I believe hatchback and coupe use the same hood)

Can you put a 96' civic front end on a 93' civic?
you can put the plastic pices on it but now the under workings like the front drive train will not work With minor mods its definitely do-able. CORRECT ANSWER this is how you do it. you need to buy a list of parts. front radiator support, headlights, fenders, hood and front bumper for a 96 civic. then you removed (by chizling) the stock radiator support and weld the 96 radiator support on. next you must cut the fenders in half, both the 93 and the 96 fenders. then you weld the front part of the 96 fender on the rear part of the 93 fender, fiberglass and bondo smooth. then you can install all the parts on there. you can use this method do also put 94-00 acura integra front end on your civic. how do i know, ive done it. hmmm cheapest injectors will probably be at your local parts store and as for changing them ........... step 1 remove the wiring harness from the injectors careful not to lose the clips that hold the plug to the injector then remove the 2 10mm nuts that hold the harness to the fuel rail step 2 remove the fuel lines both supply (left side ) and return (right side) from the fuel rail step 3 then remove the 3 10mm bolts from the fuel rail remove the fuel rail all injectors should come out of the intake with the fuel rail make sure all o-rings are still on the ends of the injectors if not look in the hole to make sure it is still there if not it will have to be replaced u can o-rings a the parts store also step 4 to remove the injector(s) that are bad by gently twisting and pulling the injector from the fuel rail step 5 to replace the injector all u do is push the new injector back into the hole on the fuel rail where the old injector came ( to make it a little easire u might want to put a little oil or petroleum jelly on the o-rings) step 6 reverse the instructions 1-3
