It is behind the timing belt coves and you will have to take the timing belt off to change the water pump out

almost 100 % the termostat does not open it is stuck/considering you check the liquid level and is normal/.There is slite posibility to be the water pump. The thermostats are cheap and verry easy to change, so i would try that first. Also check the coolant temp sensor, usually located in front of the rad in the front of the engine(1 or 2 wires running from it)

Take it to you local Auto Zone, they can tell what codes are present and clear them, and usually its free. Read your manual.

I just did this and it takes a while... like the whole day... You have to take all the belts off b/c it is behind all that... However we also replaced the plugs, and some of the spinny things the belts go on (sorry don't remember the names)... Anyways a good 4 hours easily

Wedge a screwdriver in the front to create tension on hood then pull the hood latch. It should open.

You don't because it does not have a chain. It has a cam belt, not a chain. It must be replaced every 60,000 miles. Warning: The 4 cylinder is an interference engine. If the cam belt breaks, serious engine damage will occur.

If the hood got stuck on my explorer, I would try first lubing up the mechanism with wd-40. If that fails, look for the cable running to the latch from the handle in the cab. Try disconnecting that or pulling the cable manually from the grill. Make sure you pull up on the hood before pushing the lever; sometimes you need to push or pull it. Or just torch the latch...:)

i can tell you that a rodeo should be the same and that at least in the 97 passport the transmission is GM the transmissions should all be the 4l30e it might bolt up.

because the intake is probaly clogged up with carbon deposits not letting exhaust gasses back through the intake.

If it's like my 1995 don't waste your money. Go to a junkyard & get one, I think it's only held in with 4 screws located conveniently inside the vehicle. You'll have to remove the glove box, very easy to do.

take wheel off

take two bolts off of brake caliper and take caliper off

unscrew 4 nuts off of rotor and take the rotor off

take differential cover off

move axle until you can see a pin in the middle between two gears

pop the pin out using a punch and hammer

remove c clip and pull the the axle out to remove wheel bearing

You have to take off the entire dash, which simply consists of a few screws. It's a pain for one tiny lightbulb. :)

About every 30000 miles. That will do it

If the left turn signal doesn't work but the right one does and you're positive it's not a bad light bulb, it's not the fuse. More likely it's a bad turn signal switch.
