If there is no medical or mental reason as to why the adult rocks their head then yes get the mind off it. It is a habit probably had all of the person's life. So it will take time to break such a hard long habit. Try giving the mind something else to concentrate on. Try A stress ball, that can been squeezed instead of rocking the head, and try telling the person to squeeze the ball every time they catch them selves rocking. It could be an unbreakable habit like shaking your leg when nervous or biting nails. Just takes time and dedication to want to break it. Stress Balls can be found at some drug stores and all Sporting good Stores.
Why do people cry when they hear the words goodbye?
Because they do not know the real meaning of goodbye.
When you stare at a guy would they stare back if they like you?
There's no definitive answer as everyone is different. Some guys may stare back if they are interested, while others may not for various reasons. It's best to look for other cues such as body language and verbal communication to gauge their interest.

You can't be treated that poorly (a prisoner) because you were able to get on the computer and leave your message. First off, you have to ask yourself this: Why did my mom lock me up in the house? Is it because I'm cheeky, won't listen when she is concerned about me, or (if a girl) won't let me date the guy I love with all my heart, or (if a boy) out drinking perhaps doing drugs or just hanging out with a bad crowd. If these are the reasons you think your mother is the wicked Witch of the West then you need to grow up! The only reason you should be concerned is: If you are being sexually abused If you are physically abused Now, I can see the wheels in your little head whirling, and if you think you can make up a story to get your mom into trouble, think again. If you form a complaint against your mother for physical abuse there are specialists that deal with this every single day and deal with several different cases a day and they know when someone is telling the truth and when someone is lying. I am suspecting you are a spoiled child that is a "wild child" and simply wants their own way. For the first time your mother is putting her foot down (and she probably should have done it years ago) and you think you are being treated poorly. The fact you are on your computer to post this message makes me believe your mother should have thrown the blasted computer out the window while she was at it! I have no doubt your little fingers are whirling up a storm on email or IM to your friends, so if you are so badly treated you could have told them to tell their parents the mess you are in and they would have phoned the police to confront your mother and gee, you would be free by now! I certainly don't take your complaint lightly and I am fierce and protective when it comes to protecting children, the elderly or animals. So, if you are being beaten or abused in any manner, then you have the computer right at your finger tips and instead of being on this board you can contact your local police!!!!! Marcy
Composition on why do you like or dislike teenagers?
Are you asking for homework or do you really want to know?
I like most teenagers because they are people with fresh ideas, a new perspective on things and often idealistic and full of energy.
I dislike teenagers who have no perspective of what's possible in life, where they fit in a larger world and prefer to be or don't know how not to be pessimistic, mean, self centered, and clueless (and think they know it all). Of course, I dislike adults with these same traits.
How can you become more responsible?
If you were injured at work can you still sue them in Virginia?
depends on what state you live in
in Virginia
It's wrong because two wrongs don't make it right.
So to sum up: It's wrong, you shouldn't do it, but I probably would.
an eye for an eye. but I'm sure that would hurt
Some people just wear their heart on their sleeves and by doing so can use up all their own energy trying to resolve other people's problems. There is a point, where we give the best advice we can to someone and if they choose not to listen then we must move on, yet stay somewhat supportive. There are also two other types of people that do what your girlfriend does ... #1 Someone that needs drama in their lives constantly and #2 They find it easier getting involved in other's problems so they don't have to fix their own. If we don't do this, then they will suck up every ounce of energy YOU have. It can leave a person drained. If you are honest you probably don't want to answer her call because you know what you are going to get at the other end (hearing about other's problems.) The best thing to do it to be completely honest with your girlfriend and tell her that she has chosen to take on the problems of this friend, is an enabler by doing so because people have to also learn to help themselves, and you just can't handle it because you have problems of your own. You are going to get some name-calling I'm sure, but things will settle down. I just recently had to do this to a girlfriend of mine as she was taking up my time with other's problems and although I am not trying to sound callous here, I have enough of my own problems and have the right to reserve what energy is left to help family or friends that are closest to me. Have that talk and say it in a kind and steady voice. If talking on the phone she may hang up on you, but I have no doubt she will call back in a week or two. If she starts in on the same old, same old, then gently remind her you're not listening to it. Good luck Merry Christmas Marcy Get a new girlfriend. If she is this way now, what do you think she will be like if you tolerate this behavior and end up marrying her in the future? You must be pretty young. This should be obvious to anyone who has been around the block at least once. And yeah, yeah, I know you love her and her other qualities are great. But if this bugs you now, it's not going to get better. It's just NOT. I do agree with the other poster to some extent, but girlfriend or friend, it's worth it to try before walking away. If the person just doesn't get it, then the other poster is correct. Marcy
Why do girls act like nothing is wrong but yet you can tell something is wrong?
I think in some cases people are just afraid of the kind of reaction they'll get, from sharing it, if they go about it the wrong way, and blame their significant other, it can lead to defensiveness from their partner and more blaming, which can escalate to arguing and fighting. But If you really trust the person you're with, i think its easier to talk about something being wrong, generally speaking, because you trust their reaction will be supportive and more likely lead to a positive resolution.
I also agree about not always wanting 'our feelings out there for the world to see'.
We may think that our feelings are irrelevant to the everybody else, thinking that keeping ourselves locked up until we get home is the best. We feel if we keep whatever is going happy and light, everyone will have a good time.

How do you know the things you know?
Information is stored in your brain in the form of electrical signals. When you learn something, a specific pathway of signals is set up, which can be activated whenever you need that information again. Scientists are still not exactly sure how this works, but it does!
What is the most difficult aspect of being a teenager?
Wanting to do whatever you want but your parents keep getting in the way.
Actually, stigmatic twins are really rare, but just because you never met one, doesn't mean that they don't exist.
You can act snobby by rolling your eyes or scoffing at people. Mainly just act like you're better than every one, that should do it
What are the symptoms of a phycopathic behavior?
Aggressive/erratic actions without thought on the consequences of those actions. Even when those consequences could be harmful to the individual acting erratically.
What are the main differences between the beliefs of the loyalists and unionists?

To offer a true narcissist pity and love is to paint a sign on your forehead that says PREY. Narcissists are predators, make no mistake. They are chamelions, they are masters of creating the facade of being whatever you may need. Vulnerability is weakness to them and they will tell you whatever you need to hear to take advantage of you and fulfill their own needs. Narcissists need to cause suffering to others for a multitude of reasons. Narcissists have two types of tears, crocodile tears (fake tears) and tears for themselves. You will NEVER cure a narcissist, it's not a disease. Narcissistm is part of an individuals personality. Narcissists are vampires of anything and everything they can take from others whether it be financial, material or emotional. Any kindness, empathy or generosity they may show will be minimal and is only part of the con-job. Narcissists have spent their whole lives honeing their skill and if you catch them in a fabrication are devoid of any guilt but will agree with anything you may say. Keep in mind, to a narcissist you are nothing unless you are of some use to them.

Actually, yes. Although I didn't realize at the time that I was suffering emotional abuse from my ex, I pressed on him about getting engaged. Our relationship was very rocky, yet there was an underlying infatuating love I had for him. He used to keep me hooked by dropping hints about an engagement, he took me to see the ring..etc. As my excitement was thrillingly roused by his manipulation, he became increasingly resistant and finally "dumped me" because he couldn't make good on my fantasies about our wedding/marriage. I think my own too-eager obsession with getting married may have saved me from a horrible marriage and ruin.
I like to think that he may have learned a thing or two from me about making promises you can't keep because maybe the only confidence I had in my relationship with him is knowing exactly what I want out of my future husband. It's an incredible responsibility to be in a marriage, and he couldn't bend those morals in me.
After we broke up, he continued to taunt me by saying, "You know, I WAS going to marry you, but you're too CRAZY." And that's how I learned about Narcissism.
AnswerAbsolutely true. The lengths that an N will go to are inconceivable and disgusting...in Canada it's Holt Renfrew (whatever). There is no sense in nonsense... AnswerNo, unfortunetly I think you still are trying to find something to hold onto to make sense of it. A wounded soul always fits. That way they don't have accountability. They leave because we no longer supply them with what they need. Much like if it ain't at Macy's, go to Nordstom's. N's like the path of least resistance much like all creatures and stay by their life source until the well runs dry and then move on. There is no emotional attachment to the place WHERE the water is, just the water.I know how devistating

narcissistIts no fun to be a narcissist. You hurt people, but u think u do this for them. Only afterwards do you realise your harm... well for me at least. Maybe i am no narcissist, I do not have very strong regrets but I can understand the person that i hurt because i was in the same situation... only not so bad. When we parted, I stayed during a week torn, with the phone in hand, wanting to call her again. Then I cried... I do have emotions... Maybe I'm not a typical narcissist, but I surely have some components. I wanted to tell her to come back, I wanted to have someone to count on, but I was afraid.
It is not fun to spend your life with no other significant other then your half-psychotic self... and to be too absorbed in your cosmic struggle to have some little fun...
Hopefully I can change now that I know a bit more about myself... maybe if i aim towards different goals and give up the temptation of manipulative love... then I can be "normal"... I'll try that.
Why does a person expose themselves to others?
If a person were to expose themselves emotionally to someone, it may be because the person feels unstable and feelings like they need someone there to talk to and care for them if their going through a tough or troubled time.
If a person were to expose themselves physically in a naked state, the person may feel a sexual connection with their audience and is trying to hint to them. They may have a mental issue and don't realize what they are doing. They may feel good about their body and feel no issue about appearing naked in front of other human beings and lastly they may be under the influence of drugs. In a few cases, some do it to get locked away. An example was a mentally ill person who was constantly bullied, so he disrobed and called the police to get him, figuring that with his history, he would be hospitalized.
How many times does the average person cuss?
depends on the average person. i personally don't cuss that much, but i know people who cuss every sentence they say.
They certainly can be. It depends on whether you think beauty is all on the outside or not, and what you see as beautiful. Kathy Bates, for instance, might be what some people think of as fat, but she is quite beautiful and a very, very successful character actress.
