What did people eat in the 1900s?

Breakfast for the poor was bread and tea, some ate what they could find in trash cans. Secondhand food markets sold groceries and meats that were sometimes rotten. Some restaurants along the docks sold food that was left over from other people's plates in fancy restaurants. They made stew and soups that were sold for .15 cents a portion. Hot soup was free in a soup kitchen. Fast food 1890's style was sold on the street and you could buy oysters, buns, pretzels, hot spiced ginger bread, berries, oranges, baked pears, Italian ices, and German sausages. The first cold cereals came out in 1895 and in 1896 the first bagel was baked in NY. The rich ate a lot. They would start dinner with a platter of oysters, then turtle soups, a fish dish, a whole hen in cream sauce, salad, vegetables and a sweet dessert like ice cream served in fancy shapes or pears cooked in wine and sugar in an apricot sauce. Why does fighting not solve problems?

Fighting Does Solve ProblemsIt doesnt solve any problems except for making each other physically happy. You are only caring for the person and are solving it with another way other than cyber bullying. I'm not real sure how else to describe it or what else to say. AnswerI believe fighting doesn't really solve problems but it does provide a catharasis to those who do the fighting. I think there would be a lot less underhandedness in the world if people could just get out there feelings of angst against others all at once maybe in private. It also shows you're willing to stand up for yourself and able to defend yourself. In the most privative form of the thought. AnswerFighting creates more Love than there probably was in the first place. When strong emotions get involved, it's easier to solve the primary problem. AnswerI take it it's arguing and not physical fighting and I have to agree with the second poster. Although we may say things out of anger that hurts the other person sometimes cutting loose with each other can be the best thing. If one keeps the frustration deep inside of them and perhaps the other person refuses to communicate well this can only fester and it's harder to get along. We just wouldn't be human if we didn't blow once in awhile, but this doesn't mean that constant arguing is good for a relationship.

Are human beings naturally selfish?

ANSWER

Human beings are naturally animals, selfish is a human concept, The technical answer to your question is yes we are naturally selfish but, it's really about the survival instinct, all animals are selfish when it comes to survival, procreation and defense of life.

ANSWER:

As all beings are selfish, why is has the word become such a pejorative? Why should we overcome selfishness? Selfishness is to have a chief concern for ones own interest. Any other addendum towards defining selfishness is just hyperbole, matters of opinion. To say we have a chief concern for ones own interest especially with disregard to others it to contradict the meaning. Our dependency on others is self evident and to show disregard for others is not in ones best interest. Selfishness is a virtue and not a sin, it is the very point in having a point of view. If you don't look out for your own interests then who will? Why should somebody else be a better judge of what's in your best interest, and how can we be sure his judgment of your selfish behavior isn't motivated by his own selfish nature? Be selfish, I say! Be who you are, look after yourself and always be your self.

ANSWER

No! Of course not. If all human beings were naturally selfish, then where would we be? Of course, there are a lot of people who would say that we were selfish, and I understand that, but no. If you were to be selfish, nobody would hate you for being so, because it is accepted; everybody is selfish, to some degree, whether they know it or not. It's what makes us human.

Why do you think people succeed?

People succeed because they are androids programmed to be good in life. They are taking our jobs, eating our food, driving our very cars! The ones who are "bums" and "hobos" are simply normal human beings, starving and without shelter. You probably laugh in their face, spit on them, step over them. But in actuality, you are killing the human race.

Why might one person attack another?

There are many reasons why people assault other people. Here are some of the common ones:

1. Out of anger. Someone may attack another person because of something the other did or was thought to have done..

2. To rob them.

3. To sexually assault them. Rapists often beat their victims to overpower them and make it easier to commit rape.

4. To kill them. The murder or the attempt to murder is an assault, and sometimes the victims are assaulted first as part of kidnapping them before either killing them or taking them to one or more persons who might do the actual killing.

5. To join a gang. Some gangs may have initiation rituals such as attacking random strangers. They also attack those who want to join the gang.

6. Out of curiosity. Some people attack others just to see what it feels like.

7. Out of mental illness or substance abuse. They are not in their right mind and may perceive threats that aren't there.

Breakup without a reason?

CHIN UP!!!! and hat off to the looserOk i don't know if you are male or female here but ill give it my best shot! i see your already hurting as you love this person and he/ she has dumped you without a reason... ok if its a man MAYBE he is on an ego trip where he thinks he can get any girl he wants and you don't matter coz of one little petty thing you have done or said and he wants to punish you by not telling you, or better still maybe he has found someone else behind ur back and doesn't want you to think any less of him LIKE he is a cheat incase things don't work out and he wants you back!.. if its a girl who dumped you wow she is a strong cold heartless person who doesn't have the guts to explain Y (coz u girls usually do) unless, we are dumping you for another guy.. Ask yourself what have you done out of the ordinary for this person to turn on you like this... do u dress up or down different, talk different, have stupid friends that he/ she doesn't want you influenced by?? there could be 101 reasons and obviously this person is GUTLESS to dump u without their honesty

ok one way to get around this... pull ur chin up high, know in ur heart its this Persons LOSS u are a good person and will have many a partners in your time... start to dress better, get a new hair style and feel good.... go out on the town or to party's even places where this person can see by him/her dumping u its all for the better YOU are a BETTER person and play hard to get huh! go 4 it! brag about the fun times u have in life or have planned to have etc... (even if u have to exagerate) watch him/ her see what they are missing out on!

GOODLUCK!!!! chin up and smile!

The best way to view organizational behavior is through contingency approach build an argument to support this statement?

The contingency approach suggests that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to managing organizations, as each situation requires a unique approach based on the specific context. By viewing organizational behavior through this lens, it allows for a more nuanced understanding of how different factors such as structure, culture, and leadership style interact and influence behavior within the organization. This approach emphasizes the importance of adapting to changing circumstances and tailoring management practices to fit the specific needs of the organization at any given time.

Could nursery rhymes affect to childrens behavior?

Yes, One would have to broaden the scope to include so-called Fairy Tales, some Comic Books and tragedy songs, for lack of a better name- there are enough of them on the radio which make light of suicide ( Running Bear, or was it Bare) where two distraught young lovers dive into the local body of water, their tribes fought with each other, so the song goes ( translation race mixing or parents disapprove of friendship) there are whole rafts of very objectional stuff in Disney and other cartoons. Kids make up some horrific rhymes of there own- including one that made comic light of disposing of an unwanted Baby- (wrap it up in tissue paper- send it down the elevator, First floor stop, second floor stop, third floor, watch the closing doors! and one recalls the case of dead babies tossed down a ventilator shaft in West New York. I don"t know the problem is often analogous to violence on tv and movies but some of this stuff is not for kids. period.
