They wear them so people wont see their scars from cutting themselves. Also we wear things that help to show that we are not going to listen to the preps and their beliefs because they don't accept us for what we all are. You know, typically, it's not the Emo's that cut themselves, it's the posers and wannabes, and the posers that cut themselves, well, most usually show people their scars to prove that they're 'emo' when their only hurting themselves to prove what there not. Now, to answer the question.

It's not only Emo's that wear wristbands, preps, jocks, scenesters, even the goths wear wristbands. It's not just one stereotype that wears the same types of clothes and accessories, preps even wear skinny jeans and hair bows every once in a while, and that doesn't necessarily make them scene or emo, it makes them who they want to be.

The wristbands we all wear are just different, some are pink, some have something relating to emo written on it, like, I wear Brokencyde and Blood on the Dance floor bracelets, but that's because i love those bands.

And one more thing, I doubt anybody fears a stereotype, why would preps fear us; and why would scenesters, emos or goths fear them?

You are very young, so it would be to your best interest to tell your mom (just the two of you with no one else around) that you have something important to discuss with her. You need to get it off your chest and tell her. Of course she is going to be shocked, but she loves you. Then it would be wise to get counseling to be sure you are who you think you are. You are coming of age and you probably don't quite know for sure what you want. There are many young men and older men that like to cross-dress, but it doesn't suggest they are gay. If it turns out this is the way you are, then you have to decide ... Do you want to be a girl or a boy or just cross-dress? If you want to be a girl and go around in women's clothing, then you can ask your mom for help. You have to look the part. It wouldn't be wise to go alone and buy girl's clothing at your age and if going with your mom both of you could simply be looking for something for "your sister". If you just like to cross-dress then do it in the privacy of your home. Walking around at your age in public could get you into a whole lot of trouble from your male peers. For now take it slow and easy and have that talk with your mom and just tell her what is in your heart. If she suggests counseling go into it with your eyes open and tell the truth as to how you REALLY feel about yourself. Whatever happens as an end result is who you are suppose to be. it is referred to as a flaw because other people don't like it or know why you do it or what to do with you when you do it, ie anger over small things as above poster said or you are over emotional at sad things or happy things

they are not really flaws but differences and they are what make a personality an actually personality as apposed to a clone.

To me, thinking immaturely is responding to circumstances without a accurate view of cause and effect. Things are not always what they seem to be. People don't act in a specific way to a set of circumstances. Consequences may not always be evident and/or may not be what on thinks they will be. An example might be a prank that makes sense on one hand (getting back at someone), but which causes property damage or physically endangers the perpetrator or the person it is happening to. Answer: I think one type of immature thinking was when I was young and all my life until about age 42. I rejected all women who had small breasts because I was determined to date a woman with large breasts. Actually, I had a few dates or spent some time with women friends or acquaintances who had small breasts and they weren't crazy about me either. So I spent about 22 years without a girlfriend, with my perhaps crazy, immature obsession with having a large-breasted attractive girlfriend, and I never got one! I'm probably still immature, because although I don't mind small breasts anymore, I'm not attracted to women my age, 47, and young women who I'm attracted to, age 20, aren't attracted to me and I guess I don't blame them, if I put myself in their place, so to speak. So I lose!

I know how tempting and unstopable it is to not bite your nails.............

here are steps to help you stop:

1. You know you don't want ugly nails, biting your nails can also result to the tip of your finger to start becomiing twisted, but it will go if you stop.

2. there are many products you can buy in boots or in pharmacies, they are clear nailpolishs (so don't worry boys, lol) that taste really bitter and disgusting so you get a taste of the grossness every time you bite your nails, this will automaticly make your brain think, " do not bite nails.....bad taste...".

3. biting your nails is a result to human stress or anxiety, it is also very unattractive, it shows insecurity, so you need to have a reason to stop, this really helps, it does, you aslo need to take your mind of "that thaought of nibbiling", and slowly but suerly the niumber of times you bite your nails will reduce and reduce and reduce untill it is not a thought for you any more.

4. I f it is in possible to stop you can try only biting nails on 1 of your hands and leave the other hands nails to grow, then you will realise how much better it looks and you can compare the differerence.

5. i know your probably going , " But what products do i buy, tell me, i need to know?!" but the truth is biting your nails is a mind game its only YOU that can make a difference to your nails you can try looking at number 2. that i wrote about and ask a pharmasisit.

Anyone even if the home front that continually puts you down, backstabs, exaggerates or makes up stories is not worth being around. Look at the person doing the talking, and you will see exactly how well they are. Business will not deal with this types of people, because they would be likely to distroy any business that is trying to get off the ground or continue working with the public. If you find that you are around these types of people, change you path, even if it means finding another location. These people dont change but can affect anyone that is around them. They have many problems and will try and hide them by being judgemental. This is why they talk the way they do.
