One who betrays another's trust can mean so many things, so many kinds of circumstances. One who betrays an obligation to duty, again, so many kinds of situations could fall into this description. Betrayal of trust or a duty could be describing a relationship between a parent and child; a husband and wife; friends; an employer and employee; an employee and the public; a government official and that government and/or its people; a citizen and his neighbors; or a person who takes an oath of duty and the people that persons serves or the public in general.
